General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Kelly Monaco (Sam McCall) is finally speaking out about Billy Miller’s (Drew Cain) departure. There have been plenty of unknowns since the news about Miller’s GH exit broke. The show hasn’t made an official comment about Miller’s status, but the actor himself confirmed he’d be departing through a statement on his manager’s Twitter account.
Monaco seemingly needed some time to gather her thoughts and consider what to say. However, she ultimately sent out a tweet with some kind words for Miller and a promise to reveal more later. Perhaps there are some things that are better left unsaid for now. General Hospital is keeping a tight lid on Miller’s departure details, but Monaco might be able to say more after that exit plays out onscreen.
“I feel like I have to address this situation,” Monaco said on Twitter. “#BillyMiller ‘s untimely departure from #gh. Honestly, I can not come up with the words to describe how I feel about this decision… a decision that may not be what our audience thinks to be true. I’m heartbroken… more to come.”
Monaco is obviously quite distraught over all this, and we can’t help but notice some anger bubbling through as well. Based on her comment, it certainly doesn’t sound like it was Miller’s decision to leave – yes, Kelly Monaco appears to imply that Billy Miller was fired from GH. Of course, many GH fans assumed Miller chose to exit due to the lackluster material he’s been given since Steve Burton’s (Jason Morgan) return. No one would’ve blamed him for hitting the door.
Instead, perhaps GH cut Miller loose since he was undoubtedly pricey compared to newbies. Plus, they never really settled on much of a direction for Drew. He’s just been not-Jason ever since the big twin reveal. Now that there are rumblings of a Nikolas Cassadine (last played by Nick Stabile) comeback, General Hospital might’ve decided Drew just wasn’t a character they needed.
Whatever the case, Monaco seems riled and ready to spill the details when the time comes. GH viewers will definitely want the full scoop!
