General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that one ABC soap star is showing off her hidden talent. Kirsten Storms has plenty of fans as Maxie Jones on GH, but what does the popular actress do when she’s not on set? It turns out Storms is quite handy and proved it with some recent DIY projects at home!
Of course, anyone who’s ever tackled a do-it-yourself project will tell you that you’re bound to run into a few snags. That was certainly the case for Storms, who documented her latest adventure in home improvement. In a recent Instagram story, Storms admitted she started off on a risky note since she was running so low on sleep. She got in bed at midnight and got up at 4:30 a.m. to be at work an hour later.
Storms was ready to get started, so she didn’t let a little thing like sleep deprivation slow her down! She fixed up a dresser with some lovely decorations, which led to burning herself with a hot glue gun. A spider even made an appearance, so that was another not-so-fun part of the process.
Still, it seems like Storms enjoys these DIY projects overall. She mentioned another recent project in an Instagram post, which featured a new pic. Storms put a bed together with some help from a very special home improvement partner. Storms had some sweet words for her mom, who stepped up and came through for her.
“HUGE shoutout to my Mom for coming into town to decorate and for helping me put my new bed together,” Storms said. “We easily could’ve hired someone to do it, but I felt badass using the power drill – especially since the furniture company forgot to drill the holes into the headboard that were clearly pictured (and listed as being there) in the instructions. That power drill is bomb.”
It’s awesome that Storms just rolls up her sleeves and gets to work. She’s a hands-on kind of gal who knows how to get things done. Kudos to Storms on all her hard work! General Hospital fans like following Storms and all her daily activities on her social media accounts, so this was something exciting to include.
