General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) seems to be taking risky moves lately. As GH viewers know, he made himself known to Ava Jerome (Maura West) on Halloween, which nearly blew up his secret plan to find the codicil to Mikkos Cassadine’s (John Colicos) will before Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) found out about his existence. Ava ended up convincing herself that she hallucinated when she saw Nikolas, allowing him to be able to stay “dead.”
But for someone who wants to stay out of sight and find the codicil in secret, Nikolas sure is taking a lot of strange risks, some of which don’t readily make sense. First off, what was Nikolas doing on the pier the night that Cassandra Pierce (Jessica Tuck) kidnapped Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) and ultimately died? That was never really explained, and it ended up putting Nikolas at risk because Charlotte saw him that night.
Then, Nikolas suddenly showed up at Wyndemere the next day, having come in through a secret entrance near the fireplace. He didn’t seem to have a reason for going there, at least that GH viewers were made privy to, and while he was there, he did a couple of strange things. First, he had a lengthy conversation with Charlotte, who happened to catch him standing in the living room. Why would he have been standing in plain sight when he likely knew that Charlotte was in the house?
Of course, it could be that part of Nikolas’ plan is to try to get to Valentin through Charlotte, and that he wanted Charlotte to see him and at some point later tell her father about meeting her “secret bodyguard” in order to rattle Valentin. But then a bit later, after Charlotte had exited, Nikolas followed after Valentin in the house with a fireplace poker, like he was going to hit Valentin over the head.
One wonders why Nikolas would want to hurt or kill Valentin at that particular moment, with Charlotte still in the castle and after making his presence known to her. Plus, his actions don’t really comport with the overall plan that he has in place with Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) and Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig) to secretly and quietly find the codicil.
General Hospital spoilers suggest Nikolas may have another agenda here that hasn’t been made clear, or is he simply acting impulsively, perhaps due to his deep hatred for Valentin. It will be interesting to see what Nikolas does going forward, especially since Hayden will be exiting and Jax wants the codicil search wrapped up before the new year. Before long, Nikolas’ allies will be gone.
