General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that things will start to get complicated for Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) and Marcus Godfrey (Nigel Gibbs). These friends and former flames recently reconnected after Marcus unexpectedly showed up in Port Charles. Turns out, Marcus’ wife Yvonne Godfrey (Janet Hubert) needed to come to Port Charles for treatment for Alzheimer’s Disease.
Yvonne and Stella’s social work client Mike Corbin (Max Gail) are patients at the same memory care facility, Turning Woods. And this has caused substantial drama, since Mike and Yvonne are sweet on each other.
Sadly, both Yvonne and Mike frequently forget that Yvonne is a married woman, and Marcus wants Mike nowhere near Yvonne. He sees Mike as a “predator” and wants Yvonne left alone.
It’s a truly sad situation all around, and it looks like Marcus will soon need someone to lean on. He’ll likely turn to Stella, his old friend, for comfort. And Stella would be a good choice, given her social work background and experience dealing with Alzheimer’s patients and their families.
But that could cause some complications, too, since Marcus and Stella used to be a couple. Marcus is likely very lonely given that Yvonne rarely remembers him and doesn’t really engage with him as a wife anymore.
He will probably enjoy his time with Stella, but he might feel some guilt over spending time with her while his wife is in a treatment facility.
Still, people have needs, and Marcus may find great comfort in Stella. GH spoilers say that the two will continue to reconnect as Stella helps Marcus deal with everything that’s going on with Yvonne and Mike. How long before those old feelings start to resurface and Stella and Marcus find themselves attracted to each other?
