Hallmark Channel News: Maggie Lawson & Paul Green Star In 'Christmas In Evergreen: Tidings Of Joy'

Hallmark Channel news has some great information to pass on about an upcoming movie that continues the holiday tradition of the “Christmas In Evergreen” series. “Christmas In Evergreen: Tidings Of Joy” premieres on The Hallmark Channel on Friday, November 28th at 8pm Eastern.

“Christmas In Evergreen: Tidings Of Joy” is the third installment of the “Christmas In Evergreen” series and includes several cast members from previous “Christmas In Evergreen” movies. But this installment stars Maggie Lawson, who’s new to the series, as well as Paul Greene.

You may know Maggie Lawson from her various TV roles, including Lethal Weapon, Psych, Santa Clarita Diet, and Two-And-A-Half Men. Maggie plays the character of Katie in the the movie, who’s an investigative reporter who travels to Evergreen, Vermont to get the story on the town’s too-good-to-be-true Christmas fever.

Maggie was recently interviewed on Hallmark’s morning show, Home & Family, and she had the following to say about her role: “My character Katie, she’s a journalist. She’s just written a novel and she’s kind of down and is looking for some inspiration.”

Maggie continues: “She hears about this town of Evergreen and she’s like I’ve got to check this out. It really does sound too good to be true. And she gets there and it’s all the things she thought it was going to be, but she also uncovers this mystery of a Christmas time capsule, and they’re having their 50-year celebration of the Christmas festival.”

And of course, while all this is going on, there’s a wonderful love story to the movie as well. Maggie’s love interest is Paul Greene, who you might have seen in various major motion pictures such as Do No Harm and Somewhere, as well as on the TV shows The Newsroom and Girlfriends’ Guide To Divorce.

Maggie told Home & Family that she had a great time working with Paul Greene. “He’s so kind…He was so patient and loving and kind…He would play guitar between setups and we ended up playing guitar together.”

It certainly sounds like a great feel-good holiday movie that’s bound to get you into the Christmas spirit! Will you be watching? Enjoy all your Hallmark Channel holiday movies and don’t forget to check CDL often for the latest Hallmark Channel News.
