The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that two CBS soap stars recently had some difficult news to pass along. Darin Brooks plays Wyatt Spencer on B&B and recently celebrated a birthday.
As fun as that was, things took a somber turn when he lost a beloved pet. Brooks’ wife, Kelly Kruger (Mackenzie “Mac” Browning on The Young and the Restless), also had to suffer through this tough loss.
Brooks shared their heartbreak on Instagram and Twitter, but he hoped to make this post a celebration of life as well. Maddy the pug brought Brooks and Kruger great joy, so they shared some sweet photos and opted to share a little of that joy with fans. They just wanted to honor their pup and let everyone know how much she’ll be missed.
Maddy The Pug Will Be Missed
“Maddy, our pug, was 17 years old,” Brooks said. “She was a character. Strong, loving, sometimes ornery and had a ‘wont take no for an answer’ spunk (especially when it came to food)… But she was 17, like I said, and was only in my life for 10 of them but still, she was my lil one.”
Brooks went on to talk about how Maddy was Kruger’s little buddy who always tried to lift her spirits. It sounds like she was a loyal dog and had an important spot in their lives, so it’s always hard to say goodbye. Still, it’s nice to remember the fun memories and reflect on what a wonderful life Maddy had.
Many Bold and the Beautiful viewers were quick to chime in with words of support for Brooks as well as Y&R’s Kruger.

“Pets are so special and it sounds like you all had such a great life together! I hope Maddy’s memories bring you both strength and happiness!” one viewer said. “So sorry for your loss,” another fan said. “Fur babies are very much a part of our family. Hugs to you and Kelly!!”
