The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers update for Thursday, August 8, tease that Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) will brace for a terrible blow. She’ll come home to a shocker when Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) and Hope Forrester (Annika Noelle) deliver the news about Beth Spencer (River Davidson and Madeline Valdez). Liam already put the clues together and claimed “Phoebe Forrester” was Beth, but now he’ll have Flo’s confession to back it up.
Hope and Liam may urge Steffy to sit down as they try to share this bombshell. They’ll realize it’s going to be brutal for Steffy, so they’ll want to handle this as delicately as possible. Despite “Lope’s” joy, they can certainly understand the pain Steffy’s going to face. It won’t be easy for any of them, but the truth has to be revealed. Steffy must accept that “Phoebe” isn’t hers to keep.
At first, The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Steffy will be in disbelief. She’ll likely insist Liam’s going nuts and dragging sorrowful Hope down with him. Steffy may contend that they can’t wish Beth back into existence, but she’ll have a hunch Liam’s right deep down. The fearful look on her face has told the story lately.
Once Liam reveals what Flo told him, Hope will chime in as well. They’ll both be able to tell Steffy what went down with Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson), who was clearly desperate to keep the baby swap under wraps. The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Steffy will be a mess of emotions. It’ll be tough for her to even fathom that “Phoebe” is indeed Hope’s daughter.
Steffy will have to accept the truth eventually, which means she’ll realize she can’t keep “Phoebe.” The idea of giving Beth back to Hope will be crushing, so B&B fans can expect some heartbreaking scenes in the episodes ahead.
Meanwhile, Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) and Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) will remain hopping mad. They’re certainly not through with Florence “Flo” Fulton (Katrina Bowden) and her fellow secret-keepers yet. Flo, Shauna Fulton (Denise Richards) and Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes) will tackle more questions about the scheme, so Thomas’ threats should become the focus soon.
Of course, Thomas’ actions don’t excuse the silence of the others. They should’ve had the guts to come clean, and “Bridge” will be sure to drive that point home. The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Brooke and Ridge will deal with Thomas friction later, but they’ll want to concentrate on their daughters for now. Hope and Steffy will need all the help they can get with the baby drama that’s brewing.
