The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers preview tease that Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) will be feeling the pressure from all sides this week. The new B&B promo preview for the week of July 8 promises a tense week as Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) continues with his scheme to marry Hope, while Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) and Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) do their best to dissuade Hope from making things permanent with Thomas.
The promo starts with Thomas creepily telling Hope that it won’t be long until they’re husband and wife. Of course, it won’t be enough for Thomas to finally be engaged to Hope. He’ll want to make sure that their wedding happens asap, before anyone can convince Hope that it’s a bad idea. Thomas wants his family with Hope and Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri), and he wants it NOW.
This week, look for Thomas to do whatever he can to get Hope to marry him quickly. According to B&B spoilers, he’ll result to more manipulation to get Hope to push up the wedding date, as he plays some sort of trick on Hope to get her to agree to a quick wedding. And it looks like Hope will fall for the trick, just as she’s fallen for Thomas’ other manipulations in the past.
But there’s going to be some serious opposition to Thomas and Hope’s engagement, and to their decision to quickly tie the knot. First off, Liam will reel from the news of their engagement. He doesn’t trust Thomas at all, and he’ll see exactly what Thomas is doing. He won’t be able to get the engagement off his mind, even as Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) counsels him to accept that Hope is moving on.
But it doesn’t look like Liam’s going to just sit back and accept the situation. The promo shows him confronting Hope yet again about Thomas and the way he’s using her. “He’s a con. He’s using you,” Liam will say. “What if I found proof?” It would be great if Liam could get to the bottom of what Thomas is doing, but he’d have a lot of manipulation to unravel.
Plus, there’s so much that Liam doesn’t know about what Thomas is up to. As B&B viewers know, Thomas is fully aware that Beth Spencer is alive and has been adopted by Steffy. He knows that Phoebe Forrester (River Davidson and Madeline Valdez) is Beth, and he’s deliberately concealing that information in order to get Hope for himself. Thomas knows that if the truth comes out about Beth, then Hope and Liam will likely get back together.
Brooke will also implore Hope to slow things down with Thomas. She won’t see any reason why Hope and Thomas should get married quickly, and she’ll try to convince her daughter that something’s just off about Thomas. She’s shown in the promo telling Hope that Thomas scares her and that something’s wrong with this whole situation.
But will Hope listen to her mother and to Liam? It’s doubtful, since Hope sees her relationship with Thomas and Douglas as a way to move on from Liam. She’s heartbroken that Liam and Steffy made love, and she seems to think that moving on with Thomas and Douglas is a way to
heal her heart. It certainly doesn’t look like either Liam or Brooke will have any luck in getting through to Hope.
But there is someone who could totally blow the lid off of Thomas’ grand plans, and that’s Xander Avant (Adain Bradley). Xander is shown in the promo angrily telling Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes) that Thomas is a killer, and he has proof. As B&B viewers know, Xander checked the Forrester Creations security footage on the night of Emma Barber’s (Nia Sioux) accident and discovered that Thomas followed Emma out of Forrester that night.
For Xander, that’s enough to connect Thomas to Emma’s death, but according to B&B spoilers, Xander will keep searching for more concrete proof that might stand up in a court of law. Will Xander find something else linking Thomas to Emma’s death? If so, he’s going to be more convinced than ever to come forward with what he knows, and that could put him at serious risk if Thomas finds out about it.
It will be interesting to see what Xander ends up doing with his knowledge about Beth and about Thomas’ involvement in Emma’s death. B&B spoilers say that he’ll give Zoe an ultimatum this week, so it sounds like he may be on the verge of coming forward with what he knows. And that would certainly put the brakes on a Thomas/Hope wedding.
We’ll see if Xander ever gets a chance to tell what he knows. TPTB at B&B have promised another shocking death before the Beth reveal happens, so Xander could easily be the next victim if he threatens to tell the truth and Thomas finds out about it!
