The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Adam’s Problematic Comeback – How Much Adam Is Too Much Adam?

Young And The Restless Spoilers: Adam Newman (Mark Grossman)

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will remain front and center in the months ahead. His return was a long time coming, and many Y&R fans were excited to see him in Genoa City again.

Now that Adam’s been on screen for a while and is the driving force of the show, we should reevaluate. How do you feel about Adam’s comeback so far?

There have been some noteworthy changes in Adam this time around. Grossman may be a bit younger than some fans would prefer, but Adam doesn’t play like someone who’d fit in with the younger crowd. For example, we can’t imagine Adam partying with Summer Newman (Hunter King), Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) and the social influencer scene.

Adam Newman’s Personality Was Balanced With A Softer Side

Likewise, Greg Rikaart (Kevin Fisher) is a decade older than Grossman, but Adam still feels like the powerful adult in this matchup. He’s definitely part of the grownup gang, so that’s not much of an issue. Adam’s dark turn, on the other hand, is an issue that many fans can’t ignore.

Although Adam’s always had dark tendencies, it was previously balanced out with his softer side. We’re starting to see a little more of that softer side now, but is it enough?

Some viewers believe Grossman was miscast as Adam, but he’s arguably playing the version that’s written quite well. It’s just that Adam is essentially a full-blown villain now, and maybe that’s not who Adam should be.

Other Stories And Characters Being Neglected For Adam Newman

Adam’s excessive airtime is another potential problem. Has The Young and the Restless gone overboard? Is it Adam overload at this point? On social media, people are starting to refer to Y&R as “The Adam Show” and they’re not exactly wrong! Of course, that may be a good thing depending on your point of view. Adam has at least been bringing some much-needed drama, which is nice to see.

However, other stories and characters are being neglected somewhat. The Young and the Restless has put all their eggs in one Adam basket, but is that the right call? The topic is something that’ll undoubtedly be debated even more as Adam remains Genoa City’s focus.

What are your thoughts on Adam’s comeback? Are you loving the drama of it or would you rather see some balance? We’ll give you updates as other Y&R news comes in. Stay tuned to the CBS soap and don’t forget to check CDL often for the latest Young and the Restless spoilers, updates and news.
