The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) will come home on November 13, but it won’t exactly be a pleasant visit at first. When Ashley arrives back in Genoa City, she’ll immediately find herself stuck in turmoil. Everyone will be choosing sides over this Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) situation, so Ashley will have to pick a side, too.
Much to Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) dismay, Ashley will be on “Team Theo.” She’ll have a nice conversation with her newest family member, which will spark some confessions and help them connect. Ashley’s often felt like an outsider since she’s not a blood Abbott. She’ll suspect Theo is also feeling like an outsider, so it’ll help them relate.
Of course, some Y&R fans may roll their eyes at that! You can’t compare Ashley’s decades of Abbott family history to Theo the insta-Abbott. Ashley was raised as an Abbott and was the apple of her father’s eye. She’s just as much an Abbott as her siblings – at least in the ways that count. Theo had a family of his own through the Vanderways and is just being plopped into this story for drama’s sake.
Although Kyle won’t like Ashley and Theo’s newfound bond, he may like the results. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Ashley will decide to offer Theo a job, which he could use right now. Theo needs steady employment and will undoubtedly find this offer appealing. However, there’ll be a catch. If Theo accepts the position he’s offered, it’ll mean moving to France.
Theo’s relationship with Summer Newman (Hunter King) isn’t super serious, but he’d hate to leave Summer behind. They understand each other and enjoy each other’s company – most of the time anyway. Theo’s found a friend in Lola Abbott (Sasha Calle) as well and would miss her if he left. There’s also Kyle, who’s been a strange frenemy for months. It seems like Theo still wants to be his bud on some level, even if he drives Kyle up the wall.
Plus, Theo just got a new family and hopes to learn more about them. He’s finally feeling at home in Genoa City, so Ashley’s offer will be both tempting and tough to accept. You can bet Kyle will be rooting for Theo to take the money and run! He may remind Theo that this job could change his life financially and give him a fresh start.
Nevertheless, it wouldn’t make sense to start this long-lost family member story just to end it abruptly. The Young and the Restless spoilers point to Theo and Lola growing closer during November sweeps, so he should pass on Ashley’s proposal. We’ll give you updates as other Y&R news comes in.
