The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) may soon uncover some interesting connections. As Y&R viewers will remember, he recently made an interesting statement as he was talking with Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan). He revealed that he never contacted her about contesting Katherine Chancellor’s (Jeanne Cooper) will, and that the person she had dealt with claiming to be him was an imposter.
This was an important reveal, especially since Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) ended up voluntarily giving up most of his fortune based on someone impersonating Chance hiring Amanda in the first place. And then Chance indicated something really shocking to Amanda – that he believed Simon Black (Jeffrey Vincent Parise) might be somehow connected to the contestation of Katherine’s will.
But how could this be? The situation with Simon, who terrorized Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) and her family over Calvin Boudreau’s (John Burke) money, seems completely separate from someone impersonating Chance and getting Devon to cough up billions of dollars. It doesn’t seem like Chelsea or the late Calvin had anything to do with the challenge against Katherine’s will. That just wouldn’t make a lot of sense.
But there could be another link here. What about Colin Atkinson (Tristan Rogers)? As Y&R viewers probably know by now, Colin will be back on canvas shortly, and he’ll interact with at least Jill Abbott (Jess Walton), who will track him down in the Maldives. Jill and Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard) are under the impression that Colin might have been behind the challenge to Katherine’s will.
In fact, Colin may have been the person who hired Amanda, since Amanda remarked that “Chance” seemed older than she thought he’d be when she spoke with him over the phone. It makes sense that Colin might have pulled some big con to steal money from Devon and give it to his son Cane. That would be a very Colin-like thing to do, given his history.
But could Colin also be mixed up with Simon? It seems totally convoluted, but it’s possible that Colin and Simon were working together as money launderers. Colin’s been mixed up in theft and money laundering before, so there could be a connection between himself and Simon. So, perhaps the common link between the challenge to Katherine’s will and Simon that Chance has picked up on is simply that Colin’s involved in both things.
It’s hard to imagine any other link between the will and Simon, and if Y&R has some other connection, then it’s beyond us at this point. Of course, it’s always possible that Chance was simply wrong and there’s no link between the challenge to Katherine’s will and Simon. Y&R viewers will simply have to wait and see what develops here.
