The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) will have an interesting proposition for someone in town. Actually, it’ll involve a couple of Genoa City residents – two characters who would much rather stay out of trouble! However, Y&R viewers know Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) and Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) can never seem to avoid drama for long.
Kevin and Chloe are finally free after years in hiding. With Michael Baldwin’s (Christian LeBlanc) assistance, they managed to avoid any major legal consequences. Chloe’s off the hook for trying to kill Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), and Kevin didn’t have to face punishment for his role in concealing everything.
What did Kevin and Chloe do with their second chance? They almost immediately harbored an attempted murderer at a boathouse! Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) is getting the help he needs, but another predicament will fall into Chloe and Kevin’s lap. This one will come courtesy of Chelsea, who’s still got a shady side when the need arises.
The Young and the Restless fans will recall that Chelsea still has some money to launder. It came from Calvin Boudreau’s dirty business dealings, but Chelsea doesn’t want to let it go to waste. That’s why she’ll come up with what she views as a win-win situation. As with just about everything in the soap world, Chelsea’s offer come with great risks and rewards.
It turns out Chelsea will have a job for Chloe. She’ll think it’d be fun to work together like old times, and she’ll consider Chloe to be someone she can count on. Chelsea will be ready for this exciting new chapter, so she’ll push Chloe to become the marketing director at the Grand Phoenix.
Chloe should be thrilled over the news, but there’ll be a huge catch. In exchange for this amazing opportunity, Chelsea will want Kevin’s services. She’ll insist on Kevin laundering this money for her, which could be a big problem since he needs to stay on the straight and narrow. Kevin’s even rejoining the GCPD, which raises the stakes.
Michael is another factor to consider in all this. If Kevin gets caught, he could drag his brother down with him. It could look like Michael did special favors for someone who’s still a criminal. Kevin won’t want Chloe connected to all this either. He’d be putting his family’s future on the line by accepting this gig.
Even so, this is an incredible chance for Chloe to resume a normal life. Chelsea is also a friend in need, so Kevin will really be torn. Will Kevin decide to get on board? How will Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) react if this shocker gets out?
