The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Friday, December 6, teases that some big twists are coming up. We should note that due to impeachment hearings coverage, Wednesday’s episode will be bumped to Thursday instead. That means the episode originally set for Thursday will now air Friday unless the schedule’s affected once again. Now that we’ve got the programming note covered, let’s get to some hot drama!
For starters, Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) will take a bit of a creepy turn. He’ll listen as Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) talk about doing whatever they have to do. They’ll be committed to helping their son get better. Afterward, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will visit Connor alone. He’ll suggest that he’s figured out how to keep the monster away, so Sharon will be curious.
Connor will share a chant: “Can’t beat three. Mom and Dad and me.” Sharon will be surprised that it works, but Connor will assure her that it does. He’ll suggest that he doesn’t need Sharon to come around anymore. At Crimson Lights, Adam will fret to Chelsea about the monster inside Connor being darkness he inherited. Chelsea won’t agree, but she’ll be convinced they can get Connor through this.
Later, Sharon will have some updates for Chelsea and Adam. She’ll point out that being with his parents is the best medicine according to Connor. Once Sharon’s gone, Connor will be excited about their “Chadam” family plans. He’ll be eager to watch sports and eat junk food with his mom and dad.
Chelsea and Adam will feel like today has been a good turning point for Connor. Nevertheless, they’ll think it’s a good idea for Connor to keep up the therapy sessions with Sharon. On the staircase, Connor will whisper his chant with a slight addition: “Sharon go away. Can’t beat three. Mom and Dad and me.”
At Society, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will have another chat with Devon Hamilton (Bryton James). They’ll discuss Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) and Devon’s missing fortune before talk turns to Nick’s problems. After Nick admits Chelsea moved in with Adam, Devon will ask how long Nick can go on like this.
At the Grand Phoenix, Abby Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) will gripe to “Chance” Chancellor (Donny Boaz) about her least favorite partner. She’ll rant about Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) spying and make it clear that she intends to fire her. After Chance exits, Phyllis will arrive and face Abby’s wrath.
Abby will insist Phyllis used the security system to spy on everyone, including her partners at the hotel. Phyllis will feel like Chance is behind the accusations, but she’ll also point out that she’s head of security. It’s Phyllis’ job to watch over the place, so she won’t think she didn’t anything wrong.
Abby will contend that Phyllis was just digging for dirt she could use. Y&R spoilers say she’ll ban Phyllis from the premises as well as her life. Abby will tell Phyllis to take her lack of conscience and get out, but Phyllis will insist she’s got a suite there. They’ll end up bickering about each other’s destroyed relationships before Phyllis decides she’ll leave – but she promises she’ll be back.
Chance will return to the news that Phyllis no longer works at the Grand Phoenix. The topic of the robberies will come up, so Chance will note that there was never any footage of the crimes. He’ll suggest it might’ve been an inside job. Chance will allude to some theories he’s got, so Abby will joke about him holding out on her. After Abby asks Chance out, he’ll agree to come back for a drink later.
Unfortunately, Abby will get busted first! When Chance comes back, he’ll bump into Abby and cause some purse spillage. Chance will be taken aback to see that Abby herself is the jewelry thief. The stolen gems will fall out of her purse – although we’d imagine she paid people like Roz and Sherry to help her push out Phyllis. Regardless, Chance will insist the drink will have to wait. It looks like Abby’s got some explaining to do, but we can’t rule out the idea that Phyllis might’ve set Abby up instead.
Back at Society, Phyllis will find Nick and start grumbling about his sister firing her. Nick will assume Abby had a good reason, but Phyllis will refuse to just sit back and accept it. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Nick will be focused on his own troubles, so Phyllis will offer to listen.
Nick will complain about Adam using Connor to pull Chelsea closer. Phyllis indeed think interference is happening, but she’ll wonder if maybe Nick’s better off without Chelsea. Nick will grumble that Adam’s manipulating Phyllis as well, but she’ll shut down that idea. She’ll think she’s made her own choices and so has Chelsea. In Phyllis’ opinion, Chelsea is choosing not to make Nick a priority.
Phyllis will think Chelsea has a deceitful pattern, which Nick will think sounds like Adam. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Phyllis will think Nick needs to get out before it costs him more, so he’ll seem pensive as she exits. As for Phyllis, she’ll take a deep breath following her exchange with Nick.
