The Young and the Restless spoilers update for Friday, July 26, tease that Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will get some insight on his relationship with Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) that will lead him to make a major decision. It will all start when he’s chatting with Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) over coffee.
They’ll be talking about Celeste Rosales’ (Eva LaRue) protectiveness over Lola, and Lola will remark that Celeste is all up in arms over Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), but she doesn’t seem to be worried about Rey being with a woman who has so many red flags. Rey will admit that Sharon has baggage, and the remark will clearly get him thinking, which makes sense in light of Sharon’s recent actions with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).
Later, during a heart-to-heart with Celeste, she’ll remark that love is a verb, and that when it comes to the people you love, actions speak louder than words. That will apparently hit Rey hard, since later he’ll approach Sharon at home about her actions with respect to Adam’s custody case. Sharon will protest strongly that she loves Rey and that they’re strong together, but Rey will see now that her actions have defined what she really wants.
After some back-and-forth, Rey will pack his bags and let Sharon know that he’ll send for the rest of his things. She’ll beg him not to leave and try to get him to stay with a passionate kiss, which he’ll return, but afterwards he’ll rush out the door, ending their relationship as she cries, “I love you” after him.
Of course, whether “Shey” are really through for good remains to be seen, but it seems pretty clear at this point that Rey won’t be coming back until Sharon completely extricates herself from Adam’s world. After his experience with Mia Rosales (Noemi Gonzalez), Rey simply won’t let himself get back into another situation with a woman who proclaims her love for him while acting incongruously with her words.
Meanwhile, on Friday’s new episode of The Young and the Restless, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will have a proposition for Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). Victoria will confront Phyllis about an entity that Phyllis developed called Summertime Inc. Phyllis will play coy, but Victoria will clearly have done her research and know all about this entity.
Victoria will proceed to let Phyllis know that she knows from Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) that Phyllis is simultaneously working against Adam while working for him at Dark Horse. Phyllis will note that Adam’s distracted right now, and Victoria will think that together they could take advantage of that situation. Phyllis will tell Victoria that she’ll consider it, but on one condition.
It should be interested to see what the “one condition” is that Phyllis demands in order to do what Victoria is suggesting. But knowing Phyllis, it will be a condition that winds up with her receiving considerable power and control over something or someone. Y&R viewers will have to tune in to see what she demands, and whether Victoria agrees to her terms.
