The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that one CBS soap star has suffered a crushing loss. Y&R fans know Mishael Morgan as Amanda Sinclair in Genoa City – the no-nonsense attorney who looks exactly like Hilary Hamilton (Mishael Morgan). Unfortunately, Morgan’s family is dealing with a tough blow. She posted a message on Instagram that revealed her shock and devastation.
“No words,” Morgan said. She included a broken heart emoji and a picture of her father Michael Morgan, who passed away on November 5. Morgan obviously needed private time to process and grieve first, but she eventually put up the pic to honor her dad’s memory. It’s always hard to lose a beloved family member, but many people reached out to Morgan to lift her up and offer their condolences.
Anjelica McDaniel was cut as Executive Vice President of CBS Daytime Programs a couple months ago, but she undoubtedly still cares about the cast and crew she left behind. McDaniel posted some kind words in the comments in hopes of giving Morgan some sympathy. “Sending you and your family lots of love during this difficult time,” McDaniel said.
Bryton James (Devon Hamilton), Morgan’s longtime costar and one half of the popular “Hevon” pairing, had a thoughtful message as well. He put up a heart emoji and insisted, “Here for you always.” Brytni Sarpy (Elena Dawson) wanted to give Morgan her support, too. “Sending you so much love,” Sarpy said. “I’m so sorry,” added Melissa Ordway (Abby Newman).
It’s nice to see the Young and the Restless cast reaching out like this. They seem like a sweet, close-knit bunch. Morgan also received plenty of supportive comments from family, friends and fans. Even though viewers don’t know Morgan personally, we all care about her as someone who gives us joy on the screen and brings stories to life. Our hearts go out to Morgan as she mourns this painful loss.
