The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Monday, August 26 Recap – Adam Drops Custody Fight, Stuns Family – Haunted Billy Spooks Bella

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Monday, August 26, tease that Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) will face an angry duo in the GCPD interrogation room. Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) will be upset that Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) was brought into the drama with his own arrest. However, Michael will insist he had to make a show about arresting Kevin for punching him.

As for Chloe, Michael will assure her he has a plan. He’ll note that as the new DA, he can recommend probation with out-patient treatment as her punishment for arson. Michael will add that Chloe will get out on bail later today. He’ll get a warm embrace from Chloe and Kevin as they express their gratitude.

At Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) place, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will be grateful to Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) for letting him see his son. Billy will make it clear that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) doesn’t need to be around Christian Newman (Alex Wilson) or any other child.

When Victoria arrives, she’ll mention the family meeting that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) has called. Victoria will be curious, but Nick will suggest Victor should be the one to explain. Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) will also have questions for Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), but Nikki will insist this doesn’t involve Victor’s condition. As they talk, Adam will listen in on the conversation nearby.

At Newman Enterprises, the Newman family will gather in Victor’s office. He’ll note that he has concerns about Adam’s retaliation. Victor will think they have to be ready for anything thanks to that restraining order. Adam will soon appear and needle the whole gang. He’ll eventually give Nick a document as a peace offering. It’s paperwork that confirms he’s dropping his petition for custody.

Victor will naturally assume there’s a catch, but Adam will contend that he truly wants to put the boy first. He’ll warn about how ugly things are going to get and suggest he doesn’t want Christian caught up in it. Adam will vow to destroy not just one or two of the Newmans, but the entire myth of them. He’ll want to bring their skeletons out of the closet and make everyone see them for who they really are.

Once Adam exits, Nick will remain concerned that his brother’s latest move is some kind of ploy. Victor will hate to see Adam backslide into this version of himself. Afterward, Nikki will worry about how tired Victor seems, but Y&R spoilers say he’ll put on a brave face. Back at Victoria’s place, Nick will go upstairs to see Christian while Victoria frets over Billy. Her almost husband will be pretty out of it on the couch.

Victoria will mention that Billy isn’t at Jabot, but he’ll snap at her. She’ll notice the gum habit Billy’s picked up as well, but he won’t want that analyzed either. After Billy stomps off, Victoria will confide in Nick. She’ll point out that Billy’s had serious problems ever since Adam came back home.

Speaking of being home, Chloe will be choked up over her return to the Chancellor mansion. She’ll hug Esther Valentine (Kate Linder) and reunite with Bella Fisher before sharing a sweet moment with Kevin. She’ll be grateful for Kevin’s great sacrifice, but he won’t see it as a sacrifice at all.

After the room clears out, Billy will sneak in and hear Delia Abbott’s (Sophie Pollono) voice saying he has to stop Adam. He’ll want to see Delia, but Bella will appear and get spooked by Billy instead. Chloe and Kevin will come out to give Billy updates on the legal situation, so Billy will be happy for them. He’ll apologize for scaring Bella and assure Chloe he’s OK, but he’ll look pensive as he chews more gum later.

Meanwhile, Adam will head back to his penthouse. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will be waiting with a proposition. She’ll hear Adam’s latest complaints about his family and offer to help him out.

Phyllis will explain how Victor ratted her out to Abby, who promptly screwed her over. She’ll also rant about helping Victoria and Nick out with her Dark Horse plan. Phyllis won’t think she got anything out of it. Adam will discuss his ultimate goal, which is to bury the Newman clan.

Phyllis will suggest she can be of assistance. She’ll admit things didn’t go well for her the first time around, but she’s upped her game since then. Adam will decide he’s on board. They’ll clink their glasses together to seal their partnership.

At Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) penthouse, he’ll have a surprise for Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy). It’s a breakfast he’s prepared in honor of her first day at her new job. Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will interrupt to carpool with Elena, so she’ll kiss Devon goodbye and head off.

Later, Nate and Elena will take a break at the coffeehouse. They’ll discuss Elena’s work on a case, and Nate will think her instincts are spot-on. Talk will turn to Abby, so Nate will suggest he’s cool with doing things her way for now.

After her shift, Elena will come home to Devon’s warm welcome. She’ll want to skip the chat about her day and thank him for the breakfast he offered. The Young and the Restless spoilers say they’ll kiss passionately and strip down for lovemaking.

It sounds like another exciting episode’s coming up. We’ll keep you posted as other Y&R news emerges. Stay tuned to the CBS soap and don’t forget to check CDL often for the latest Young and the Restless spoilers, updates and news.
