The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update and recap for Monday, June 24, tease that Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will confide in Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy). It’ll take some work, but Elena will get Devon to open up as he recovers from his panic attack. Devon will admit he often feels Hilary Hamilton’s (Mishael Morgan) presence around him. He’ll suggest it’s like Hilary won’t let him move on.
At their apartment, Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will put the finishing touches on Tessa Porter’s (Cait Fairbanks) music video. She’ll show off the finish project to Tessa and insist it’s going to go viral. At Society later, Mariah and Tessa will catch up with Ana Hamilton (Loren Lott). They’ll be surprised to hear Devon wasn’t so thrilled about their big idea.
Ana will note that there were other factors involved. She won’t think the timing was great and Devon doesn’t really trust her. After Mariah and Tessa share a dance, they’ll rejoin Ana for a toast and advise her about the big bro-little sis dynamic. Ana will determine that she needs to talk through this with Devon, so she’ll take off.
Tessa will feel a bit guilty about the animosity between Ana and Devon, but Mariah will reassure her. If it wasn’t this, it would be something else. Mariah will remind Tessa that she believes in her before they lean in for a kiss. Back with Ana, she’ll come home learn that Devon’s already asleep. Elena will bring her up to speed on the panic attack, so Ana will worry that she’s to blame.
Y&R spoilers say Elena will suggest Hilary is the issue here. Devon’s battling guilt and it’s making it tough for him to let go. At Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) place, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will face more backlash over the $50 million she gave Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). Victoria will be sorry for how things turned out for Nick; she was just so determined to get Adam out of the picture.
Nick will soften as he breaks out some drinks for them, but The Young and the Restless spoilers say he won’t accept the COO gig. Instead, Nick will hint at his own way of handling the Adam drama. Victoria will wish Nick would reconsider, but he’ll remind her he’s always willing to help whether he’s on the payroll or not.
At Adam’s penthouse, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will talk about her chat with Riza Thompson (Tina Casciani) and what she discovered. She’ll once again bring up Adam’s Chancellor family connection and confirm it’s Chance Chancellor. Phyllis will point out it doesn’t seem like a coincidence that Adam’s friend is linked to Genoa City. She’ll sense that Adam would very much like to keep this quiet.
After they bicker a bit, Phyllis will let Adam know this is about payback, not money. Even so, Adam will make Phyllis an offer in hopes of shutting her up. He’ll note that he could use Phyllis’ skills at Dark Horse – especially since it would drive Nick up the wall. Phyllis will promise to keep the offer in mind, but she’ll suggest that’s got a Newman appointment first.
That appointment will involve Summer Newman (Hunter King), who won’t be happy about Phyllis’ Vegas adventure. She’ll be baffled by the text Phyllis claims she sent and point out that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) got engaged to Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle). Summer will scold Phyllis for not being around to support her and stomp off.
Back at Nick’s house, Victor will show up to apologize for the custody drama. He’ll mention that he kicked Adam out of the tack house and feels it’s wrong for Adam to go after Christian Newman (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen). Victor will confess that his own custody fight was wrong as well. He’ll praise Nick as a great father and hope for forgiveness, but Nick will assure Victor that he already forgave him.
Victor and Nick will resolve to bury their conflict as Christian joins them. At Newman Enterprises, Adam will pay Victoria a visit and learn she’s the new CEO. He’ll contend that Victoria won’t really be in control at all and leave his sister looking shaken.
