The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Monday, October 7 - Victor Seeks Forgiveness - Jack & Traci Search Abbott Family’s Past

The Young and the Restless spoilers for Monday, October 7, tease that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will turn his attention to his family. As Y&R viewers know, the family dinner that Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victor tried to host turned out to be a total disaster. Victor encouraged all of those who participated in his death ruse to address him directly, in order to clear the air and vent in a healthy family environment.

However, Victor did absolutely nothing to really hear or validate his children’s concerns about the fallout from the ruse. Rather, he diminished their viewpoints when they conflicted with his own, diminished their suffering, and ended up putting Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) feelings above theirs. And ultimately everyone left the gathering early, unable to cope with Victor’s obstinance.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Victor will try to make amends with his family. He might start with Summer Newman (Hunter King), who was so upset that she couldn’t even bring herself to attend the family dinner. Summer is suffering a great deal because she was allowed to grieve for Victor, which she argues was cruel and dismissive of her feelings.

We’ll see exactly who Victor goes to first, as he’ll have several rounds to make. He probably needs to apologize to Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) as well, since Connor is really hurting right now. It seems that Victor will have a lot of explaining to do, and hopefully he’ll listen to those he’s hurt and acknowledge what he’s done.

Meanwhile, on the new episode of Y&R on Monday, October 7, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) will get started with their pet project. As Y&R viewers know, after Jack’s introspective self-journey and trip to Sedona, he ended up having a long talk with Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams). Due to her Alzheimer’s, Dina was non-responsive during most of the talk, but she seemed to respond after Jack openly forgave her for leaving the family.

Jack expressed a new understanding of his mother’s plight and her needs, which for a woman of her era weren’t considered “appropriate.” The whole thing got him thinking about how interesting the Abbott family story and legacy was, and he asked Traci if they could memorialize the family story in a new book. Traci readily agreed.

Well, on Monday’s episode, Jack and Traci will take a look back to the Abbott family’s past, as a starting point for their book. They’ve committed to exploring the past no matter whether it’s good or bad, so it should be an interesting journey for them both.

It sounds like a lot of Y&R drama is heating up for Monday’s episode, so stay tuned! We’ll give you updates as Y&R news comes in. Stick with the CBS soap and don’t forget to check CDL often for the latest Young and the Restless spoilers, updates, and news.
