The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Monday, September 16 Review - Adam Tricked, Victor Fakes Death - Billy Recalls Attempted Murder

The Young and the Restless spoilers review for Monday, September 16, tease that the Newman Ranch will be quiet with Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway), Summer Newman (Hunter King), Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) all stunned and silent. Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will be particularly distraught, as he wonders aloud how it is actually possible that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is dead.

This will lead into an impromptu argument between Nick and Adam, with Nick peeved that Adam has been so focused on his quest for revenge when their dad was fighting for his life. Nick will blame Adam for Victor’s death and will want him to get off the ranch. Abby, Summer, and Nikki will go upstairs, and Adam and Nick will continue to argue. Before Adam leaves, Nick will tell him that there will be an autopsy, and that if there was any foul play, he’ll destroy the person responsible.

Adam will then go to his penthouse, where Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will be waiting for him. She’ll be stunned to hear that Victor’s dead. They’ll rehash how Adam messed with Victor’s meds, and Adam will say that he didn’t intend to kill Victor, but that he just wanted him weak enough so he could dismantle Newman Enterprises. He’ll gripe about being exiled from the family, and he’ll remark that it’s hard to wrap his head around a world without Victor in it.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Nick will tell everyone that he called Noah Newman (Robert Adamson) and that he’ll have to tell Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind). Summer will nearly break down, and Nick will say that they’ll have to handle this like a family. Nick will try to call Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), who will still be unreachable. Finally, Nick will suggest that they all eat something, and everyone will head to the kitchen except for Nick and Nikki, who will linger for a moment and share a look.

Of course, all of this is clearly a ploy to trap Adam, as there’s currently no plan for Eric Braden, who portrays Victor, to leave Y&R. But it will be interesting to see exactly who was in on the plan other than Victor and Nikki. It’s likely that Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) was in on it, given that things had to be staged medically to make it seem like Victor had died. It will be interesting to see how things unfold, and whether Victor’s “death” ultimately brings a confession from Adam about the medication tampering.

Meanwhile, on the new episode of Y&R on Monday, September 16, Victoria will be busy caring for Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) at the boathouse. Billy will awaken and wonder how long Victoria has been there, and Victoria will reveal that she has been there for a while talking to Billy, but he didn’t seem like himself. He’ll say that he doesn’t remember talking to her, and he doesn’t remember trying to kill Adam.

Victoria will be supportive, but she’ll push Billy to remember what that “other part” of him did. He’ll flash back to various things that his “alter” personality did, like driving the car and nearly hitting Adam, chewing gum, and holding Adam’s mother’s handkerchief. The whole thing will be vey upsetting for him, and he’ll cry as he continues to flash back to various incidents.

Victoria will try to distract him by talking about their kids and their life together, which won’t help him to calm down any, so she’ll decide to get him to fully remember trying to kill Adam. She’ll deduce that he must have created another “person” in his mind as a coping mechanism, and this will upset Billy terribly, but she’ll tell him that deep down he knows it’s true and that he tried to kill Adam. He’ll cry and realize that she’s right.

This will be a big moment for Billy, but his struggle is certainly not done. According to ongoing Y&R spoilers, Billy will still have a lot to work through, and viewers will soon see a stand-alone episode entirely devoted to Billy and his struggle to reconcile the fact that he’s got an alter who is working against him and is violent. And ultimately he’ll need professional help to integrate his alter into his personality.

It sounds like a lot of Y&R drama is heating up for Monday’s episode, so stay tuned! We’ll give you updates as Y&R news comes in. Stick with the CBS soap and don’t forget to check CDL often for the latest Young and the Restless spoilers, updates, and news.
