The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Sharon Comes To Adam's Rescue – Shadam Teased But Chadam Comes True

The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) may be starting a relationship with Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso). But she’s still keeping an eye on the now-revived and recast Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), who remains a meaningful man in her life.

A shot rang out on the Newman Ranch. No, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), or Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) wasn’t wounded. Instead, Adam received lead on the right side of his gut. Massive bleeding ensued as he dropped to the floor of the tack house, fade out to black.

Upon the start of the next episode, Sharon comes to Adam’s rescue. Lucky for him or he’d be dead again. At least a few more again’s should be added to the end of that last sentence, but who’s counting?

Nothing Victor has tried so far was able to jog Adam’s memory. The closeup shot, both figuratively and literally, just might do the trick. Of course this assumes that the undead man isn’t faking amnesia as Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) openly suspects.

Actually, Victor isn’t quite sure what to make of Adam. However, he’s genuinely thrilled that he wasn’t killed in the cabin blast that Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) caused in September 2016, when Adam looked like Justin Hartley.

The surveillance Victor was conducting, which Adam was unaware of, may provide the proof needed to nab the shooter. If it doesn’t, then viewers still know that Victor, like Nick, isn’t fully certain if Adam’s memory loss claim is real, or part of Y&R’s comeback storyline.

A few crumb clues have been offered to the audience regarding the assailant in this crime. It didn’t appear to be money related. The insurance policy Adam surprisingly informed Sharon of, meaning the bag of wrapped cash, wasn’t stolen. So, why was he hit in the middle of the day?

Adam is coming to realize that he made numerous enemies in his former life. Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), being Delia Abbott’s (Sophie Pollono) father was one of them. But Nick’s understandable questioning of Billy is off-base because he was with Vickie Newman (Amelia Heinle) when Adam was shot. Villy was planning the particulars of their next wedding.

Circling all the way back to Sharon, her placement at an increasing number of intersections within this plot is logical. Along with a few recent mentions, Chelsea Newman’s (Melissa Claire Egan) just-revealed texts remind viewers that Adam’s most recent love isn’t available, yet.

Egan is back with the cast, meaning Chelsea will return to GC soon, surely also bringing Connor Newman (Gunner and Ryder Gadbois) along. But until that point, Victor’s best personal tap will remain Sharon.

Whether Adam’s trust in Sharon leads to a revival of Shadam is questionable, as Chadam would seem a more logical, near-future fit. But life in soapland isn’t fully predictable, which is why fans find this alternate reality so engaging.
