The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will make a stunning discovery, but she’ll choose to keep it a secret – at least at first. Sharon will later get some unsettling news and make a decision about her future. These Y&R spoilers line right up with what we’ve heard about Sharon’s next storyline. Insiders insist Sharon will receive a shocking medical diagnosis, which could leave her in a fight for her life.
There’s no confirmation on Sharon’s diagnosis just yet, but The Young and the Restless buzz hints that it may be cancer. If so, that’ll obviously be a major blow. Sharon’s already been feeling a bit lost lately, but this could truly turn her world upside down. She’ll inevitably struggle to process this disturbing news, which could leave Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) in the dark for a while.
Sharon may want to sit on this info until she can wrap her head around it. She might like the idea of looking into treatment options without her family breathing down her neck. However, that doesn’t mean Sharon can handle all this alone. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Sharon will lean on Nick during the week of January 6-10. They’ll find themselves reflecting on the past and sharing some close moments.
It’s only natural for Sharon to gravitate toward Nick during a crisis. She’s spent a good chunk of her life with Nick – as lovers, friends, parents… Nick and Sharon even went through the excruciating pain of losing a child together. Cassie Newman’s (Camryn Grimes) death was devastating and made them realize you never know how much time you have left with somebody you love.
It’s easy to imagine Sharon thinking back on that loss and the toll it took on Cassie’s loved ones – especially since this will play out around Cassie’s birthday. Sharon may allude to wishing she’d had more years with Cassie – and perhaps wishing she could get back the ones she missed with Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes), too.
Nick might not realize there’s more to Sharon’s somber attitude than meets the eye. Sharon may fear that if she can’t beat her illness, she’ll be robbed of even more years with the people she adores. Knowing how deeply they felt Cassie’s loss, Sharon would undoubtedly worry about her loved ones losing her as well.
Of course, Nick is always going to care about Sharon and how she’s feeling. Even if Sharon isn’t ready to reveal her secret, leaning on Nick like this could strengthen their bond. Whenever Sharon finally divulges what she’s up against, it’ll be interesting to see if she spills to Nick or Rey first.
