The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Tuesday, July 9, tease that Christine Williams (Lauralee Bell) will get some infuriating news. She’ll be beside herself when she learns the mayor wants to settle with the Newmans. Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) filed a lawsuit against the GCPD, which was totally fair. They made a mockery of the justice system throughout all that J.T. Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill) chaos!
Nevertheless, Christine will protest at first. She’ll feel like the mayor’s just letting Victor win, but she’ll be ordered to make a formal announcement anyway. As Christine fumes and pouts, Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) will offer another perspective. He’ll gently urge Christine to see that maybe she abused her power. Christine was determined to take down the Newman clan by any means necessary.
Once Christine really thinks about it, she’ll see that her vendetta was fueling her actions. Christine will realize mistakes were made, so she’ll admit maybe the mayor’s making the right call here. Of course, Y&R spoilers say this will be a major victory for Victor. He’ll take the opportunity to gloat when he runs into Christine at the park with Paul.
Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) might try to play peacemaker since Victor’s her husband and Paul is her friend. She probably won’t want to stir the pot too much, especially since Victor’s in poor health. Nikki may suggest they should all just be glad that the J.T. nightmare is behind them. Everyone is moving forward and facing different challenges these days.
Other Young and the Restless spoilers say Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will pull Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) closer. They’ll find themselves in familiar territory as Nick continues to comfort his ex – only now the situation for them is becoming increasingly desperate thanks to a recent arrival in Genoa City.
A warm embrace will lead to a moment that stirs up some strong emotions. Old feelings will come rushing back, so could a kiss happen? It would certainly mean moving too fast considering Chelsea just lost her husband, but things tend to move quickly on soaps.
As The Young and the Restless spoilers tell us Chelsea will certainly feel the walls closing in and need all the support she can get this week, July 8-12. Chelsea will find herself the prime suspect in Calvin’s death – which the GCPD led will determine involved foul play and as they make it a murder investigation.
Recently rejected Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will remain determined to clear a path to happiness. He intends to play dirtier than ever if he has to – in this case by framing his ex-wife for Calvin’s murder! All that Adam cares about is reclaiming the family he’s lost and that now means getting custody of Connor.
