The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Tuesday, November 5, teases that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will remain wary of Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson). Over the phone, Kyle will push Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) to do some digging and learn who Theo really is. Jack will feel like Kyle’s letting his past with Theo shape his current view. He’ll think Theo deserves a chance, but Kyle will worry Jack’s going to regret ignoring his warning.
At the Grand Phoenix, Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) will talk to Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) about Simon Black (Jeffrey Vincent Parise). Once Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) appears, he’ll express concern about what’s going on. Chelsea will offer reassurance before she exits, but Abby will think her GP partner seems off.
At Society, Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will put a blindfold and headphones on Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks). She’ll take Tessa back into the office to wait on her anniversary surprise. Next, Kyle and Lola Abbott (Sasha Calle) will arrive to pitch in with some last-minute preparations. Once the table’s ready and the other guests show up, Mariah will bring Tessa out to the surprise party.
Tessa will be touched by the gesture as well as the toasts from around the table. Kyle will take credit for bringing Mariah and Tessa together. He’ll remind them that he worked his matchmaking magic and arranged their first date on the GCAC roof deck. Lola will add some kind words about how much she appreciates Tessa and Mariah’s friendship.
Abby, Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will also be on hand for the bash. Sharon will acknowledge she had her doubts about “Teriah’s” relationship, but she’s never been happier to be proven wrong. Afterward, Mariah will read Tessa an admittedly cheesy poem before Abby gives one more toast to the beautiful couple.
At Crimson Lights, Sharon will open up to Rey about her previous reservations. Rey will wonder what changed Sharon’s mind about Tessa, so Sharon will admit she was worried…but nothing happened. Although she’s glad Mariah’s in a happy, committed relationship, Sharon will feel like her own world’s getting smaller. She’ll also note that Noah Newman (Robert Adamson) is halfway around the world and Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind) is at boarding school.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Rey will look forward to what’s ahead. He’ll dance with Sharon while Mariah and Tessa do the same at Society. They’ll share some heartfelt words about their relationship before heading home to continue the celebration.
At Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) penthouse, he’ll comfort Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) after a nightmare. Once Chelsea’s summoned, she’ll tell Nick she has to go see her son. Later, Nick will discuss the Adam drama with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman). Although Nick thinks Adam will try to manipulate Chelsea through Connor, he’ll feel confident it’s not going to work.
Talk will turn to Nick’s campaign and how he’ll prove he’s his own man. Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will give Nick a slow clap and crack jokes about her ex-husbands. Once Jack heads out, Nick will wonder why Phyllis doesn’t seem on board with his councilman run. She’ll fear that thanks to politics, Nick’s going to stop blazing his own trail and turn into his father, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).
Y&R spoilers say Nick will take Phyllis’ hand as he reassures her. Abby will corner Phyllis after their warm moment to deliver a warning. She’ll insist Phyllis had better not even think about it. Phyllis will contend that maybe the peer pressure will get to her. Since so many people think she’s making a play for Nick, Phyllis will suggest she may have to “hit that” again.
Back with Adam, he’ll be amazed as Chelsea uses a “magic eyes” technique to calm Connor down. Once Connor’s back in bed, Chelsea will worry about the cause of his nightmare. She’ll warn about violent videogames and teach Adam the rhyme he can use. After Chelsea’s gone, Connor will tell Adam that he likes when his mom’s there with them. Adam will confess that he does, too.
At home, Chelsea will tell Nick that Connor may be pulling a fast one. She’ll wonder if Connor’s trying to push his parents together, but Nick will question it it’s the kid or his dad. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Chelsea and Nick’s relationship will be tested, so stay tuned. We’ll give you updates as other Y&R news comes in.
