The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Victor Fights Back After Adam Cuts Deep – Are Father and Son Better as Allies or Enemies?

The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Victor Fights Back After Adam Cuts Deep – Are Father and Son Better as Allies or Enemies? The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will play a dangerous game. As of the episode airing May 23, Adam’s all set to betray his ruthless father. He plans to prove he’s a chip off the old block and one-up Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) in the worst way possible.

On one hand, this is awfully soapy and fun. Who doesn’t love a classic father-son rivalry, especially when they’re so evenly matched? Adam is the one person who can truly give Victor a run for his money, especially now that he’s hardened by his difficult experiences. Coming back from the “dead” will do that to a person!

On the other hand, it’s been touching to see Victor so thrilled about his son’s return. He loves Adam and seems truly thankful for this new beginning. It’s nice to see Victor’s softer side sometimes. He may have some doubts about Adam deep down, but there’s at least some surface level of trust.

Victor is glad to have Adam back and hopes his golden boy will be loyal. He’s been defending Adam’s spot in the family, so the looming betrayal will cut deep. The Young and the Restless spoilers say it could reignite Victor and Adam’s war like never before.

Vic worked so hard to get Adam’s memories back and put him in Genoa City again where he belongs. He’ll probably feel like his ungrateful son deserves whatever he’s got coming. Which side of Adam and Victor’s relationship would you rather see at this stage of their lives? Do you like the father-son duo as allies or enemies?

There’s the potential for drama with each angle. If Victor and Adam are on the same side in a fight, you certainly don’t want to go up against them. They could be a force to be reckoned with if they can ever get past the betrayal to come. However, Adam and Victor’s feud could also set up some major drama that’ll entertain Y&R fans for months. There’ll be plenty of ways to take the story.

Regardless, Mark Grossman is proving he was a great Young and the Restless casting decision. He can switch from tortured soul to dark schemer with ease – and remains likable while doing it. Grossman deserves props for delivering some solid performances.
