The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Wednesday, August 14 Review - Adam Promises Victor A Colossal Fight - Abby & Nate Regroup

The Young and the Restless spoilers review for Wednesday, August 14, tease that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will be served with legal papers indicating that he can no longer see Christian Newman (Alex Wilson) and that there’s now a restraining order in place.

Adam will naturally be livid about the restraining order, and during a talk with Devon Hamilton (Bryton James), he’ll realize that this couldn’t have been Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) move, since Nick doesn’t have the power to pull something like that off. He’ll realize that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) must be behind the whole thing, and he’ll rush over to Newman Enterprises to confront his father.

The two men will then have a heated exchange, as Adam barrels into Victor’s office and confronts him about working against him. Victor will tell Adam that he had no choice and that has held back for too long while Christian has suffered through this custody mess. Adam will accuse him of taking sides, and Victor will stress that he’s taking Christian’s side, and that he won’t watch the boy suffer because of Adam.

Victor and Adam will proceed to yell at each other and rehash the past, as Adam brings up how Victor chose to let some other man raise him, and Victor tries to explain how he didn’t want to put Adam through a custody battle. Victor will let it be known that he’s disappointed in Adam and that he regrets giving him a second chance.

Ultimately, Victor will tell Adam to go back to Las Vegas, but Adam will say that he’s not going anywhere. Victor will tell Adam that he’ll live to regret that decision, and Adam will vow to get his sons back and will tell Victor that he’s going to take everything from Victor and his siblings. Finally, Adam will tell his father to be ready for a fight.

Now that Adam’s more emboldened than ever, what will be his next move? He was already planning to fight for his sons with everything he had, so will he go after Newman family harmony next? He could try to divide and conquer his siblings and his father, but might he do that by going after Newman, or perhaps using Victor’s blood disease against him somehow? Time will tell, but it certainly looks like Adam will plan something big against his family.

Meanwhile, on the new episode of Y&R on Wednesday, August 14, Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) and Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will have a heart-to-heart. They’ll each have something to say, and Abby will dive right in, assuming that Nate’s recent radio silence means that he wants to end their fledgling relationship.

Abby will explain that she is trying to be careful after having had a string of unsuccessful relationships and a failed marriage, and that she understands if he’d rather have someone who’s ready for a serious commitment. When Nate finally gets a word in edgewise, he’ll explain that they’re very different, and in many ways she’s a mystery to him, but that he’d like to get to know her better.

Abby will be relieved and happy that Nate isn’t breaking up with her, and they’ll agree to take it one day at a time, as Abby asks him to come to Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Lola Rosales’ (Sasha Calle) wedding with her. It’s great that these two finally got on the same page and openly communicated – perhaps now their relationship will flourish, and they can take the time they need to get to know each other better.
