The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Wednesday, November 6, teases that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will be eager to welcome Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) to the family. He’ll want to throw a party in honor of their new relative, but Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) will try to pump the brakes. Jack will insist on getting to know their half-brother through his son. He’ll also mention Theo’s sweet visit with Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams), so Traci will get on board with the party plans.
Of course, Traci will know it’ll be tougher to win over Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). Jack will contend that Kyle will have to accept Theo as his cousin, but Kyle will be busy complaining across town. Lola Abbott (Sasha Calle) will advise Kyle to suck it up just before they leave Society.
At Crimson Lights, Kyle will run into Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and narrowly avoid splattering coffee on her. He’ll drop the Theo cousin bomb, so Mariah will realize what was bothering him at the anniversary party. After Mariah urges Kyle not to let Theo get to him, she’ll end up with Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) on the patio.
Sharon will be buried in books as she studies for her final. She’ll get some help from Mariah, but Tessa Porter’s (Cait Fairbanks) text will interrupt. Tessa will ask Mariah to meet her at the Grand Phoenix for part two of their anniversary celebration. Mariah will let Tessa know she’ll be there soon, but she’ll turn her attention back to Sharon first.
Once Sharon spots the text and realizes Mariah really wants to take off, she’ll encourage her to go. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will join Sharon next. He’ll help her hit the books again and assure her she’s going to do great on her test. As for Mariah, she’ll meet up with Tessa in a suite and appreciate that she’s set the mood for romance.
Over with Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan), she’ll face questions from a worried Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway). Abby will fret about the issues between Chelsea and her guest, but Chelsea will insist she’s got it covered. Simon Black (Jeffrey Vincent Parise) will approach Chelsea once Abby’s gone. He’ll note that he’s not known for his patience, but Chelsea will hope Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) and Kevin Fisher’s (Greg Rikaart) undercover mission will help.
While Simon listens nearby, Kevin and Chloe will pose as FBI agents. Chelsea will contend that she’s never heard of Simon Black before they exit. Simon won’t seem rattled when he approaches Chelsea again. He’ll show Chelsea a picture of Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) that he took with his phone this morning.
Phyllis will pass Chelsea a couple times as the drama’s unfolding. Once Chloe and Kevin catch back up with Chelsea, they’ll discuss the threat to her son. Chelsea will argue that since Simon brought Connor into this, now he’s going to burn. Back with Phyllis, she’ll take a look at the security footage and grow curious about Chelsea’s link to Simon.
At the Abbott mansion, Jack will remind everyone that Theo should be given a warm welcome. Abby, Traci, Kyle and Lola will all be on hand for the get-together. Traci will wonder what Lola thinks about all this, so she’ll admit Theo and Kyle have had a contentious relationship. She’ll feel like they need to grow up a bit.
After Theo arrives, Traci will insist the Abbotts are a close-knit bunch who enjoy celebrating. Unfortunately, it won’t take long for Theo to get on Kyle’s nerves. Theo will joke about knowing Kyle from somewhere, so Kyle will suggest he knows Theo all too well.
Next, Theo will mention being a waiter at a restaurant near Traci’s publishing house. Lola will chime in with her own story about being a waitress, so Theo will contend that they would’ve made a great team. Kyle will snap about how Theo would like that. He’ll manage to rile Lola, who’ll decide she’s going to head out. Lola won’t want to be around Kyle when he’s acting like this.
Once Lola exits, Theo will be asked about his career. He’ll let them know he always lands on his feet and point out that he had a good childhood. Theo won’t want the Abbotts thinking they owe him anything. After Theo offers his gratitude and leaves, Kyle will remain agitated. He’ll hope Abby didn’t buy that, but she’ll want Kyle to grumble to someone else.
Y&R spoilers say Kyle will give Summer Newman (Hunter King) a call. She’s still on her business trip, but Kyle will want her to come home and handle her boyfriend. Back with Theo, he’ll find Lola at Society and admit he’s not feeling lost anymore. Theo will also call Summer and allude to dealing with something major. He’ll hope she can come back and help him deal with it.
