The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that one CBS soap star is set to tie the knot. Y&R fans will remember Abhi Sinha as Ravi Shapur, the tech whiz who was quite smitten with Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson). It turns out Sinha is just as smitten with his real-life love, who just became his fiancée!
On social media, Sinha shared the big news with his followers. He was thrilled to announce that Helen Kim agreed to his surprise marriage proposal in an exotic locale. “On June, 17th, 2019 in front of Kilimanjaro – I asked the love of my life to marry me,” Abhi tweeted. “Best decision of my life. (Because she said yes! ) I love you so much Helen, and cannot wait to marry you @helenkkim”
Sinha offered a few more details in an Instagram post. He shared a great story that tied in with his efforts to ask for Kim’s hand in marriage. There was an extraordinary item that Sinha wasn’t able to use for his proposal, but he still wanted to talk about the tradition behind it.
“While at Sabi Sands we saw a beautiful bird called The Lilac Breasted Roller,” Sinha explained. “Our guides @nombekana and @c.rob_wildlifephotography told us that the feathers of these birds are very rare. They are so rare and valuable, that often local men will use the feathers to propose to women.”
Sinha admitted no feathers were used in his own proposal, but he thought his engagement ring worked out pretty well. His new fiancée undoubtedly agrees! Kim looks positively giddy over Sinha down on one knee in one of the pics he shared. They’re a cute couple and The Young and the Restless fans certainly wish them the best of luck in this exciting new chapter.
Many Y&R viewers still enjoy following Sinha and hearing about all his adventures. They were quick to congratulate Sinha and his bride-to-be. One fan said, “Congratulations Abhi!! I am so happy for you two! Best wishes for a long and happy life together!” Another exclaimed, “How sweet! Congrats and wishing u much happiness!”
As for Sinha’s old role in Genoa City, The Young and the Restless spoilers say there are no plans to bring Ravi back at the moment. Of course, anything can happen down the road.
