Tonight’s show opens with the celebs talking about exercising our right to vote.  Live from Hollywood Tyra Banks enters in a huge yellow dress.  Tyra reminds everyone to vote.  Tyra then announces she has sad news Jeannie Mai had surgery and she is doing well but she had to withdraw from the competition.   Due to Jeannie dropping out there will not be a double elimination tonight.  However, tonight the stars perform two dances, not one.  Time for the dancing to start.

Kaitlyn Bristowe (“The Bachelor,” “The Bachelorette”) and pro Artem Chigvintsev dancing Jive to “Don’t Stop Me Now” by Queen

Judges comments: Derek: Kaitlyn wooh!  Let’s go, let’s go you always put so much content in your dances.  Sometimes you have to attack a little more. Great jive!  Bruno:  I am having such a good time.  Honestly, you have what it takes you can do everything.  There is one thing you have to do, more passion, more attack.  I need the full montee.  Carrie Ann: I know last week was a tough week but you came back with grace.  This performance was by far one of your best.  Scores: Carrie Ann: 8  Bruno:  8 Derek Hough  9   TOTAL: 25

TV host Nev Schulman (“Catfish”) and pro Jenna Johnson dancing Viennese Waltz to “Stuck with U” by Ariana Grande & Justin Bieber

Judges comments: Bruno: I could see the ring of confidence.  You were oozing charm and charisma.  It is very hard to lead a lady.  You sold the performance.   Carrie Ann: You brought it back you slipped again and lost your balance.  But besides that, it was beautiful and elegant.  Derek:  You sat in that routine beautiful.  You are beautiful to watch.  Beautiful smooth Viennese waltz. Scores: Carrie Ann: 9  Bruno:  9 Derek Hough  9   TOTAL: 27

Actress Justina Machado (“One Day at a Time”) and pro Sasha Farber dancing the Samba to “Magalenha” by Sergio Mendes

Judges comments: Carrie Anne: So good, you are so fierce.  What I love about you is how you make us feel.  There was a little stumble there, what happened?  It was great, great energy.  Derek:  You look beautiful tonight.  I loved your Samba rolls, just watch your feet a bit.  But, you are so fun to watch.  Bruno:  Look at her my tangerine dream.  I love watching you.  You make every hour like a happy hour. A little more bounce, but brilliant. Scores: Carrie Ann: 9  Bruno:  9 Derek Hough  9   TOTAL: 27

GRAMMY®-winning rapper Nelly and pro Daniella Karagach dancing the Rumba to “Nobody Knows” by The Tony Rich Project

Judges comments: Derek: How ya feeling man.  Sometimes there are moments like that that just transcends.  I want to thank you.  Bruno:  I am very touch.  They say the man in the Rhumba presents a frame and you did that.  You stepped the moves more than dragged it.  Carrie Ann:  I am proud of you and how far you came.  You give us everything, is it enough, not yet.  I want to see more from you.  What I love you dance from your heart. Scores: Carrie Ann: 7  Bruno: 7  Derek Hough  7   TOTAL: 21

Actress Chrishell Stause (“Selling Sunset”) and pro Gleb Savchenko dancing Viennese Waltz to “Hound Dog” by Elvis Presley

Judges comments: Carrie Anne: Well done, it was very graceful and elegant and sexy. Your arms out of hold is a little, just watch that and watch your neck.  Derek: My heart is beating fast.  I can see you improving each week.  Watch the arms and transitions.  It needs to be seamless.  Bruno: I was thinking of so many things while watching that.  You have some very very good moments but you need to be able to sustain it.  You have to continue at the same level all the way through. Scores: Carrie Ann: 8  Bruno: 8  Derek Hough  8   TOTAL: 24

Disney Channel actress Skai Jackson and pro Alan Bersten dancing the Salsa to “Work It” by Missy Elliott

Judges comments: Carrie Anne: Nice job, you were really aggressive with the dance, you kept it strong.  Derek: I think in the past everything feels a little high, today you are more balanced.  I love the lift but there were one or two too many.  Good Job.  Bruno:  Are you trying to train this girl for Cirque de Soleil.  I thought you would drop her.  You have started to use the ground which is a good thing. Scores: Carrie Ann: 8  Bruno: 8  Derek Hough 9    TOTAL: 25

Olympic figure skater and on-air commentator Johnny Weir and pro Britt Stewart dancing the Foxtrot to “Wonder” by Shawn Mendes

Judges comments: Derek: Johnny Sean Mendes would be proud.  Your arms are always so beautiful.   I love a good high water pant.  Great job!  Bruno:  I think your suit shrunk.  What you have, you have these wonderful sweeping movements. You could not do better.  Carrie Anne:  I love your fashion choices.  I liked what you did.  It was interesting artistic choice. Scores: Carrie Ann: 9  Bruno:  9 Derek Hough  9   TOTAL: 27

Backstreet Boys singer AJ McLean and pro Cheryl Burke dancing the Rumba to “Way Down We Go” by KALEO

Judges comments: Bruno: I was so captivated, the intensity, the drama, the storytelling.  You killed it.  But, I lost a lot of the Rumba.  Carrie Anne: What a passionate, powerful dance.  There was not enough content.  In the future I want you to bust through.  Derek: A hero is someone who heals their own wounds.  Bravo!  Sometimes you have to do the routine for you.  That was for you. Scores: Carrie Ann:  8 Bruno: 8  Derek Hough  8   TOTAL: 24/30
