Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) may find herself torn down the road. DOOL fans can expect Allie to ask Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) if he’d like to adopt her baby, but Will Horton (Chandler Massey) and Sonny Kiriakis (Freddie Smith) will remain involved in this storyline. Rafe becoming a father to Allie’s child certainly isn’t a done deal.
Once Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) returns to Salem, she may insist that the baby should stay within the family. Although Sami cares about Rafe and knows he’d be a good dad, it’s easy to imagine Sami siding with Will and Sonny as better options.
They could offer Allie’s baby a two-parent home and the baby would still be connected to all his or her biological relatives.
Unfortunately, that scenario could also be rather difficult for Allie. Perhaps Allie will feel like Rafe’s ideal since she could hand the kid over and get clean break. Giving the baby to Will and Sonny might mean getting too attached. Allie might worry that it’d be hard for her to know her brother was raising her own child.
Although Lucas won’t approve of the adoption in general, he may eventually agree with Sami and think “WilSon” should get the baby. Lucas will definitely like the idea of the baby staying with the fam, but he’d rather see Allie keep him or her. However, Allie will be adamant that adoption is best – at least until the baby’s born.
Once Allie holds her child in her arms, will she feel an instant connection and struggle to give her bundle of joy up? It’s a common tale in real life and on soaps. Mothers and babies have a bond that can be tough to break.
Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) was all set to terminate her pregnancy, but she ultimately couldn’t go through with it. Likewise, will Allie be unable to go through with the adoption in the end? If Days follows their usual pattern of motherly connections, Allie should at least battle doubts about giving her baby up.
This could lead to Allie wrestling with this decision again and getting support from Nicole. Of course, we should point out that Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) will be exiting Days of Our Lives around the end of August. Will and Sonny won’t be far behind. Allie, on the other hand, will remain in Salem.
It seems like Allie would have a lot more story opportunities as a young single mom trying to raise a baby. There are also some hints about Rafe, Will and Sonny’s departures being the result of some trouble.
They may get caught in situations that aren’t really something they should drag a baby into. Allie may deliver some daddy disappointment all around, but it might be for the best in the end.
