Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that a funeral’s coming up, but the circumstances surrounding it could be rather strange. DOOL buzz hints that this funeral won’t be quite what fans are thinking. It doesn’t sound like it’ll be some over-the-top event filled with mourners. It should be something small and perhaps not even that sad all things considered.
We should note that it doesn’t look like Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) will even attend – and Julie knows pretty much everybody important in Salem. This funeral is to cap off the “four weddings and a funeral” theme that’s currently underway.
Of course, that doesn’t reveal the outcome of Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) and Ciara Brady’s (Victoria Konefal) upcoming nuptials. It looks like the funeral will happen before the wedding chaos, so it’s still a waiting game on what’ll happen after the ceremony.
Ciara keeps repeating hints about how she can’t lose Ben, which could be laying the groundwork for deadly danger.
Whether Ben winds up presumed dead or not, we want to talk about this funeral that should happen beforehand. Again, this funeral doesn’t seem to be connected to Ben and Ciara’s drama at all. It also doesn’t sound like very many people will care around town, so these are all crucial clues to consider.
Who would fit as the death here? Could it be someone who’s already dead right now? Days of Our Lives spoilers say Jake Lambert (Brandon Barash) will get some stunning DNA results during the week of June 29-July 3.
Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) will be floored as well, but that may just be because she finally has proof of her husband’s return.
Regardless, the only way Jake would reel over this news is if it proved he’s Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash). There’s always the possibility of DNA test tampering, but it’s equally possible Jake is indeed Stefan.
Does that mean Stefan took the place of dead Jake? If Stefan was swapped in and took over Jake’s life, the real Jake has to be somewhere – and he could be six feet under!
The person who brought Stefan back may admit everything down the road. If Stefan eventually gets updates on the whole crazy story, that could lead to a little funeral for Jake. It’d be the Jake Days viewers never got to know, but he was a person who deserves to have his memory honored somehow.
This could be a bizarre experience for Stefan, especially since he’ll still have all Jake’s memories and feel like he’s the same guy. Whatever the case, Jake would make sense as a funeral that wouldn’t affect very many Days characters.
It also wouldn’t be a truly somber event since Brandon Barash will continue to play the character who’s already in Salem.
This could just be about giving the real Jake a memorial, so it might even be a bit of a comical farewell. How could “Jake” say goodbye to Jake if he still feels like he’s Jake?! There’s definitely the potential for some humor in that scenario.
