Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that it’s wedding season in Salem, so there are certainly some beautiful nuptials to look forward to. There’s one wedding in particular that’ll take center stage. Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) is saving up so he’ll have enough money to buy Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal) a proper diamond ring, so they’ll be the last wedding in a series of four.
This seems like a good time to make some predictions about the story ahead. Days has offered some great clues on the show, but there are also DOOL spoilers, promos and behind-the-scenes info.
When you add it all up, it’s pretty easy to see the overall picture of this storyline coming together. Let’s consider what’s going to play out in the full “Cin” wedding story.
For starters, this is all building to a funeral that caps off the wedding series. In other words, someone should wind up dead or presumed dead as a result of what happens at Ben and Ciara’s nuptials. Keep that in mind as we walk through this “Cin” story prediction.
We’ve also got mischievous Claire Brady (Olivia Rose Keegan), who’s about to be released and is friends with Jake Lambert’s ex-girlfriend, Gwen (Emily O’Brien). It’s important to pay attention to the dialogue hints Days of Our Lives has provided, too.
Claire vehemently insisted she would never end up back at Bayview, which means that’s exactly where she’ll be at the end of this short-term stint. We’ve also had two hints regarding Ben’s potential fate. Ciara wondered what her happily ever after was going to be if her fiancé ended up dead, so that was the first fatal clue for Ben.
In a more recent dialogue clue, Ciara asked if Ben knew how hot he was going to look in his tux. “I know how hot I’m gonna feel in July!” Ben replied. On the surface, that might seem like some adorable banter between lovebirds, but this is the kind of thing we have to examine a bit further.
The logical conclusion is that Claire will be accused of setting yet another fire – one that seeming burns up Ben. However, the story’s likely going to be far more complicated. Here’s how we expect things to go.
Ciara will be wary of Claire at first, but Claire will slowly start winning Ciara over. Revealing Gwen’s at Bayview will help save Gabi DiMera (Camila Banus), so that’ll score Claire some points. There’s a good chance Claire will be on the verge of getting everything she wants. Ciara will probably ask Claire to be her maid of honor, so it’ll be all butterflies, sunshine and rainbows for a while.
Then, something should happen that causes a major setback. Ciara and Claire may have a falling out shortly before the nuptials begin. Days of Our Lives released a promo that featured the “Cin” wedding recently.
There were two notable absences in that promo: Claire and Belle Black (Martha Madison). Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) is featured clearly in that preview video.
It’s easy to imagine Claire getting quite upset over Ciara suddenly banning her from the church. Claire will likely disappear, leaving Belle to go look for her. Now here’s where things get tricky.
Days of Our Lives spoilers confirm that Claire will face some rotten luck that results in the blame game. That obviously points to Claire facing wrongful allegations.
So if there’s a fire like DOOL’s hinted and Claire doesn’t set it, who does? That’s when Days could bring the Claire-Gwen connection back into play. We’re betting Gwen will set the blaze – possibly after her own falling out with Claire and as a way to target Jake, who’ll be enjoying the wedding with his date, Gabi.
Ben may get his hero moment of saving Ciara before getting trapped in the church. That’s where those hints about Ciara’s fiancé ending up dead and Ben feeling hot in July fit perfectly.
From there, Eve Donovan (Kassie DePaiva) may take over. She’ll be making her return right around then – and her storyline involves making Ben pay. This is confirmed in Days of Our Lives spoilers.
Let’s say Eve finds out about the wedding and decides Paige Larson (True O’Brien) didn’t get her happily ever after, so why should her killer? Gwen may simply beat Eve to the punch. That’d leave Eve in the right place at the right time to perhaps hold Ben at gunpoint and lead him into captivity. It fits with Ben’s history to be held hostage in a cabin.
Meanwhile, poor Ciara should be left thinking Ben’s gone forever. She’ll point fingers at Claire, who should be sent back to Bayview despite her denial of any wrongdoing. Then, it’s just a matter of when Ben can escape Eve’s clutches and get back to his grieving love.
