Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) will soon get some difficult news. As DOOL viewers know, Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal) has recently learned that Will Horton (Chandler Massey) was not responsible for the car accident that caused Adrienne Kiriakis’ (Judi Evans) death.
This is significant because previously, Ciara believed that Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) and Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) conspired to send Ben to prison.
Well, as it turns out, Victor and Xander actually conspired to send Will to prison instead. This is all great news for Will, since it means that he can hopefully prove his innocence and get out of jail.
This is a big deal, and it’s going to have a lot of consequences, since right now it seems that Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) is the person who caused the accident and she could wind up jail eventually.
According to Days of Our Lives spoilers, Ciara and Will are soon going to debate the issue of what to do with their newfound knowledge. Eventually, though, they’ll decide to fill in Ben about what they now know about Will’s innocence and the big setup perpetrated by Victor and Xander.
Ben will probably have some advice for them about what to do and how to prove that Victor and Xander conspired to let Will take the fall.
But we have to wonder about where this leaves Ben in the grand scheme of things. After all, his final appeal was recently denied, and that means that he is going to be facing the death penalty soon.
Of course, on soaps these things tend to move along pretty quickly, so we wouldn’t be surprised if Ben’s execution date comes along sooner rather than later. That will leave Ben with a real problem on his hands.
And really, it will leave Ben and Ciara back at square one. After all, they’ve been operating under the theory that Victor and Xander arranged for Jordan Ridgeway’s (Chrishell Stause) murder and then conspired to pin it on Ben. But now Ben and Ciara are going to realize that someone else must have killed Jordan – but who?
Well, DOOL buzz says that this person just might be Evan Frears (Brock Kelly), who may be the father of Jordan’s son, David Ridgeway. But so far, Ben and Ciara have no reason to be looking in Evan’s direction as the likely murderer.
In fact, Ben and Ciara will probably realize that they’ll be essentially starting over in their search for the real killer.
That wouldn’t be a problem if Ben had lots of time on his hands, but he’s on death row and time is of the essence. They need to find the real killer, and they need to find him or her asap.
The whole thing will probably be pretty discouraging for both Ben and Ciara. And it just might make Clyde Weston’s (James Read) offer to bust Ben out of prison look pretty good. One wonders if that will ever come to fruition.
