Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) will have a terrible week. As DOOL viewers know, Ben has disappeared after the explosion at the church, and he’s been kidnapped by someone with a clear agenda.
The new DOOL promo shows Ben being held in some dark room, and additional spoilers indicate that he’ll be in New York City, far away from his home of Salem. Spoilers are pointing to Eve Donovan (Kassie DePaiva) being Ben’s captor, and that would make sense given Eve’s utter hatred for Ben.
Back when Ben was the necktie killer, he murdered Eve’s daughter Paige Larson (True O’Brien), and Eve has naturally held a grudge ever since. It doesn’t seem to matter to Eve that Ben has recovered from a mental health perspective.
The vengeful mom just wants him to pay for what he’s done, and she probably doesn’t want to see Ben happy with Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal), hence her destruction of Ben’s wedding to Ciara.
Well, assuming that Eve is Ben’s captor, then it would seem that she’s been the one responsible for all of the terrible incidents before the wedding, including the vandalism of Ciara’s wedding gown, the engagement ring disappearance, and Ciara’s pre-wedding illness.
But now, Eve seems to have something even worse in store for Ben, and she could be planning something truly evil.
For example, Eve could be planning to take away everything that Ben has worked so hard for. Since Ben will be kidnapped, Eve could be planning to withhold his meds from him, so that he’ll start experiencing mental distress again. Or Eve could even go the extra mile and help the process along by drugging Ben.
We can’t forget that Abigail DiMera (Kate Mansi) was recently drugged by an unknown assailant with a hallucinogenic drug – that could have been Eve, perhaps testing the effect of the drug on Abigail before giving it to Ben.
It’s a terrible thought, but what if Eve is successful in her plan? Days of Our spoilers say that Ben will be rescued from his captivity, which is great news, but what if Eve ends up injecting Ben with the same drug that she gave Abigail before he’s rescued?
DOOL viewers will remember that Abigail is still in treatment with terrifying hallucinations, so the same thing could befall Ben after the fact. And given that Ben’s history is being dangerous, the drug could make him revert to his prior terrifying self.
We also should address the fact that Victoria Konefal, who portrays Ciara, will be leaving in the coming weeks, and that’s probably going to mean the end of “Cin,” at least for the time being.
And given that Victoria has indicated that she could come back down the road for short stints, that sounds like Ciara might go away, leaving Ben behind. Could Ben actually become a threat to Ciara, due to the drugs that Eve gives him?
If Ben is given the same drug as Abigail was given, then that would indicate that Ben could have long-term effects of the drug that could require serious in-patient treatment, especially if the drug brings out the violent side of Ben again.
Since Ciara will be exiting, perhaps she’ll have to leave for her own safety after Ben becomes violent. Ben could even become violently obsessed with Ciara, making it necessary for her to get out of Dodge and go into hiding.
Time will tell what happens here, but something tells us that Ben will suffer some longer-term effects than just being kidnapped for a little while and then going free and living happily ever after with Ciara.
It would be just like Eve to plot total destruction for Ben and Ciara, and drugging Ben with a long-lasting drug. Do you think that we’ll see Ben become a danger to Ciara as a result of Eve’s actions?
