Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal) may have to make a difficult decision when it’s time for Konefal to exit. DOOL fans know Konefal’s departure has been confirmed, so we have to start thinking about how Ciara will leave Salem.
Eve Donovan (Kassie DePaiva) wants to brainwash Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) so that he’ll kill Ciara, but we’re not hearing anything about Ciara being killed off.
Since Konefal has expressed desire to work with her castmates in the future and Wilson will remain on the show, it doesn’t sound like Ciara’s exit will be a deadly one. It’s far more likely that Ciara will leave town, so let’s talk about why.
It’ll take some work on Days writers’ part to make this exit believable. Ciara has faith in Ben and knows this conditioning is coming from Eve, not Ben. Perhaps the only way Ciara would even consider throwing in the towel on this marriage would be to protect someone else – someone like her own baby.
If Ciara gets pregnant before she leaves the show and Ben’s pushing her away, she may let him – not for her own sake, but for the sake of their son or daughter. Speaking of that son or daughter part, Eve made an intriguing comment to Ben when she was spelling out her terrible plot.
Eve wants Ben to feel the same pain she’s faced, but she can’t get an exact match here. Eve noted that Ben doesn’t have a daughter, but he has a wife. That’s just the kind of line that could come into play much later. Will Ciara come back to Days one day with Ben’s daughter?
Although it’s possible Konefal will reprise the role at some point, it’s perhaps more likely a recast will hit Salem eventually.
Once DOOL rests the character – naturally, for nine months or more – Ciara could waltz back into town with a new look and a little girl for Ben to meet. Maybe Ciara could decide that she just can’t keep their child from Ben anymore.
With a story like this, Days can take all the time they want. Even if this little girl’s a toddler once a twist like this happens, it’d serve the same effect. In fact, the longer they wait, the more dramatic that big reveal would be.
It’d be so soapy for Ciara to ultimately return home with an adorable daughter who looks just like her daddy. That could serve as a new beginning for “Cin” down the road.
