Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) may have a tough battle ahead of him. After Ben’s traumatizing ordeal in captivity, he’ll eventually be rescued and reunited with Ciara Weston (Victoria Konefal).
Unfortunately, Ben’s trouble is just getting started! He’ll face nightmares upon his return home – ones that involve choking the life out of his new wife.
Obviously, the thought of murdering Ciara will fill Ben with fear. That’s the last thing Ben would ever want to do in his right mind, but how long will Ben remain in his right mind? Ben could end up teetering on the edge of a relapse – either due to the time spent off his meds in that hostage situation or through a new drug in his system.
What happens if Ben’s indeed pushed over the edge? Will Ben truly try to harm Ciara? If so, it might be interesting if Claire Brady (Olivia Rose Keegan) gets in Ben’s way. There are a couple of interesting reasons why that might happen.
For starters, Claire tried to kill Ciara, so she needs to make amends for that. Based on Ciara’s recent outburst, it’s clear that she’s not over the past. Claire’s always going to be Ciara’s attempted murderer, but saving Ciara’s life could offset the damage.
Days took a similar writing route when Ben was in prison with Will Horton (Chandler Massey). Although Ben tried to kill Will when he was mentally ill, he made amends for that by saving Will’s life behind bars. Clyde Weston (James Read) likely would’ve murdered Will if Ben hadn’t intervened.
Perhaps Days of Our Lives could take this story in a similar direction. Claire might redeem herself by saving Ciara from Ben’s murderous rage. Will Claire herself nearly get the life choked out of her? It’s easy to imagine a hospital crisis for Claire, especially since a recast is coming up.
It’s quite common on soaps for someone to land in a hospital bed and only be shown from a partial view. This could build to the big reveal of Claire’s new look.
Olivia Rose Keegan’s Claire might be admitted to the hospital before the new Claire checks out! Another actress is set to take over, so that’ be a good strategy to slide her into the role.
Regardless, DOOL spoilers say a Claire recast is indeed on the way. Since Ben’s poised to lose a battle with the dark side and Claire needs to make up for her own deadly actions, it’s reasonable to think she might intervene here. Claire might be the one to step up and save Ciara from a grim fate.
