Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) will catch Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) off guard. During the week of January 27-31, Eric will find himself in need of comfort. Thanks to Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk), Eric will believe Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) has reunited with Brady Black (Eric Martsolf). The pain of that betrayal will send Eric into the arms of his own ex.
That brings us to Sarah’s DOOL shocker. Days of Our Lives spoilers say Eric will lean on Sarah for support, which will lead to him planting a kiss. However, just because Eric’s interested doesn’t mean Sarah will be. She’ll undoubtedly be hesitant to go for this – and there’ll be several reasons why.
For starters, Sarah may not want to complicate things now that they’re co-parenting Mackenzie “Mickey” Horton, who has cancer. She has to be their focus, so they really don’t need to add another layer of drama.
Plus, Sarah has already had her heart broken by Eric before. She’ll likely assume Eric’s just on the rebound – and he will be.
Sarah may feel like the kiss was a mistake since Eric clearly still loves Nicole and probably always will. She might advise Eric to talk to Nicole and truly listen to what she has to say.
After all, Sarah deceived Eric about Mickey’s paternity just as much as Nicole did. If anything, Sarah bears far more responsibility in this since she believes she’s Mickey’s mother.
It seems the real issue for Eric now is the fact that Nicole’s with Brady, but she isn’t really. Sarah may think Eric needs to stop listening to secondhand information and go straight to the source.
Nicole deserves a chance to tell Eric her side of the story – and she’ll get that chance the following week. As for Sarah, the main reason she may not be so enthusiastic about this kiss is Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer).
Days fans know it’s been a long road to get here, but Sarah’s developed genuine feelings for Xander. She’s fallen in love, so her kiss with Eric may help her realize that. Sarah won’t feel what she feels when she kisses Xander. That’ll be important for the next phase of this Days of Our Lives storyline.
