Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) will continue to mourn the loss of his daughter. DOOL viewers know Eric was devastated when he learned the truth about Mackenzie “Mickey” Horton. It broke Nicole Walker’s (Arianne Zucker) heart just as much to tell Eric! Nicole hated to deliver the baby swap news, but she had to be honest and let Eric decide what to do.
Naturally, Eric wanted to do the right thing and come forward. Now the truth is out about Rachel DiMera Black, but Sarah’s on the run with her. Rachel will ultimately be returned to her rightful parents, which should give Eric some comfort in the end.
Eric certainly wants Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) and even Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) to get their baby back.
However, this is something that Eric will need time to heal from. Eric is actually dealing with two losses right now: the loss of the fake Mickey and the loss of the real one. There’s an ache in knowing Rachel isn’t Eric’s flesh and blood, but there’s a separate pain from knowing he’ll never get to meet his true daughter.
Fortunately, Eric has Nicole to lean on when things get rough. If there are moments when Eric needs to open up, Nicole will be right there to listen. It’s been really nice to see Eric and Nicole tackle this crisis as a team.
For once, their obstacle wasn’t something to tear them apart. This experience is bringing them closer instead, which is only going to make their relationship stronger.
Eric can cling to Holly Jonas (Harlow and Scarlett Mallory) in the months ahead as well. He loves Holly as if she were his own little girl, so now’s the time to come together as a family and strengthen their bond. Days of Our Lives spoilers say that’s indeed what’s going to happen.
Once Eric’s on the other side of his grief, he can kick off a happy chapter with Nicole and Holly. There’s a good chance that’ll mean an “Ericole” wedding down the road. Many Days fans are rooting for Nicole and Eric to finally tie the knot. This DOOL couple definitely deserves it after all the ups and downs.
