Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that the story of Stefan DiMera’s (Brandon Barash) survival may be a complicated one. Of course, there’s always a chance that Jake Lambert (Brandon Barash) is actually someone else. DOOL hasn’t offered confirmation either way, but they’ve given us a long and winding road to the truth.
The longer this takes, the more likely it becomes that Jake is indeed Stefan. Otherwise, why would they do all this buildup? Many Days fans are going to be annoyed if this has been one giant waste of time.
Jake could be a twin brother or even a random lookalike, but Days of Our Lives has certainly laid the groundwork for Jake to be the real deal – the one, the only Stefan DiMera!
That’s especially true because Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (William Utay) insisted he didn’t save Stefan – but someone else might’ve. Here’s where things get a bit tricky. Dr. Rolf’s accomplice has to be someone who would have access to an unreleased DiMera drug.
Vivian Alamain (Louise Sorel) makes sense as someone who’d still have DiMera connections and could score that.
However, Days of Our Lives spoilers say Vivian will seem shocked when she first sees Jake. There could be other explanations, but Vivian’s upcoming reaction truly seems to be one of surprise.
In DOOL’s summer preview video, Vivian calls Jake her son and appears to be rather shaken. That suggests Vivian may not be the one who brought Stefan back to life.
If Vivian didn’t bring Stefan back, then who did? Could Eve Donovan (Kassie DePaiva) be mixed up in all this? Just because Dr. Rolf has an accomplice who presumably drugged Abigail doesn’t mean it’s the same person who brought back Stefan. We could be dealing with two completely different characters here.
Abigail came through for Eve and helped get her out of prison, so it doesn’t seem like Eve would want to target her. Vivian, on the other hand, always hated the way Stefan chased after the wig-wearing nut job.
Perhaps Vivian was the drugging culprit and Dr. Rolf’s secret partner, but Eve could be the one who saved Stefan.
Days of Our Lives fans will recall how Eve bonded with Vivian the very night Stefan was shot. Eve was reminded of when she lost her own daughter, Paige Larson (True O’Brien).
Eve also wanted to go with Vivian, who was set to make a quick escape from Salem. However, Vivian encouraged Eve to stick around and get revenge on the people who’d wronged her.
Since Eve seemed moved by the pep talk, what if she was behind Stefan returning from the dead? After all, Eve found “dead” Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) and brought him home. Jack is another character who supposedly donated organs at one point. Since Jack still turned up alive, Eve would’ve seen the potential to save Stefan.
It’s easy to imagine Eve stepping in and trying to prevent another mother’s pain. The plan might’ve gotten away from Eve once she landed behind bars. Eve may have had bigger problems than worrying about Stefan and what happened to him.
Regardless, Days of Our Lives spoilers suggest Eve and Vivian will pop up around the same time based on their filming schedules. It could be significant that they’ll both appear by early July. As other Days news comes in, we’ll fill you in on any updates.
