Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Friday, November 6, reveal that Abe Carver (James Reynolds) was thrilled when Theo Carver (Cameron Johnson) approached him outside of Julie’s Place.
Theo explained to Abe that he came back home with JJ Deveraux (Casey Moss). Abe and Theo talked about how Theo had made a full recovery, and how Theo and JJ worked and lived together in South Africa.
Inside Julie’s Place, Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) talked ahead of the anniversary party for Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) and Jennifer Deveraux (Cady McClain).
Steve learned that Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) and John Black (Drake Hogestyn) weren’t going to attend the party, and he and Kayla argued over the rape allegation against Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams).
At Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) and John’s penthouse, John reminded Marlena that today was one of their wedding anniversaries. John gave Marlena a scrapbook full of photos and mementos of their life together.
Marlena and John discussed their weddings and flashed back to their first wedding, their vow renewal, and a trip to Italy when John asked Marlena to marry him.
John and Marlena looked at their hourglass, and John said that he had mixed emotions about it, since he felt so helpless when Marlena was in her coma.
Marlena and John marveled at how Marlena had awakened, and they said that it worked for Jennifer, too. Marlena and John were glad that Jack and Jennifer got their happily ever after also.
In town square, Kate DiMera (Lauren Koslow) did her best to persuade Jake Lambert (Brandon Barash) to go to Jack and Jennifer’s anniversary party with her. Jake balked, saying that he didn’t have a suit, and Kate said that he looked good just the way he was. “Ok, it’s a date,” Jake said happily.
At the DiMera mansion, Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) and Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) were in Kate’s room as Abigail stared at a letter that her father wrote to Kate a little over a year ago when Jennifer was still in a coma. Abigail opened the letter and read it, exclaiming “Oh, my God.”
Gwen and Abigail went down to the living room, where Abigail was very upset. Gwen handed Abigail a glass of champagne, and Abigail said that she couldn’t drink with her meds.
Gwen insisted, and Abigail downed half of the flute of champagne. Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) walked in and wondered if Abigail was ok, and Gwen made an excuse. Chad left.
Gwen gave Abigail another glass of champagne, which she drank. Abigail lamented about why this had to happen tonight. “We’re in this together,” Gwen told Abigail. “Thank God you’re here,” Abigail said.
Back at Julie’s Place, Jack, Jennifer, and JJ arrived. Kayla and Jennifer talked briefly about the discord that Kayla and Steve were having over the news about Tripp.
Jack and Steve discussed the same thing, and Jack seemed to take Allie Horton’s (Lindsay Arnold) side. Steve grumped that he wanted everyone to know the truth…not just what Allie said had happened.
Chad and Theo connected at the gathering as well, and Chad reeled when he saw Kate and Jake enter. Kate told Chad that she brought Jake as his date. Chad grumped, saying that Kate seemed to like to stir up trouble.
Outside, Abigail and Gwen arrived, and Abigail tucked the letter from Jack to Kate in her clutch. “Just follow my lead,” Gwen said.
Once they got inside, Gwen handed Abigail her third glass of champagne, which Abigail consumed. Abigail caught sight of Kate and made a quick escape to the bathroom, upset.
Across the room, Jack walked up and spoke to Jake and Kate momentarily. Abigail returned and downed her fourth glass of champagne, hiding it from Chad.
Jake and Gwen talked briefly, and Jake quipped to Gwen that she managed to worm her way into the party, and that the party seemed to be pretty forgettable. “You just wait,” Gwen said. “Things are about to change drastically.”
Across the room, Abigail worked on her fifth glass of champagne and watched Jack and Jennifer acting all happy.
Gwen had brief words with JJ and totally brushed him off, while Chad approached Abigail and said that she didn’t look like she was having a great time. “I’m not,” Abigail said. “I want to tell you something.”
Suddenly, Gwen gathered everyone’s attention and made a big speech about how they were celebrating a wedding anniversary and Jennifer’s anniversary from waking up from a coma.
“To Jack and Jennifer’s undying love,” Gwen toasted. Everyone clapped happily excerpt for Abigail. Gwen went on about Jack and Jennifer, and about how tonight would be a great night.
Gwen concluded, and then Chad urged Abigail to tell him what was the matter, but Kayla got up to say a few words about Jack and Jennifer’s genuine love story.
JJ spoke next, and then it was Abigail’s turn to talk. Abigail hesitated, and Chad asked her if she was ok. Abigail moved forward to speak, and Chad asked Gwen softly if something happened at the house. Gwen replied that it wasn’t her place to say.
Abigail finally started talking, and she explained about how John and Marlena had given an hourglass to Jack, and that Jack had turned it over repeatedly while Jennifer was in her coma.
Abigail recounted one time that she got to Jennifer’s room early and Jack wasn’t there, so she turned the hourglass over herself. Then Jack came rushing into the room.
“I thought that this was the most devoted husband,” Abigail said. “But now I know what really happened.” Jennifer asked what Abigail was talking about. “You deserve to know this, Mom,” Abigail said. “I know what really happened because of this,” Abigail said, holding up the letter.
Jennifer asked what Abigail was holding, and Abigail said, “A letter from Dad to Kate.” Kate looked unnerved, Jack looked horrified, and Gwen looked smugly satisfied.
