Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that John Black (Drake Hogestyn) will land in a tight spot thanks to Orpheus (George DelHoyo). John will end up being a crucial part of another abduction plot, so here’s how it’s set to play out.
Orpheus will decide to bypass all the custody drama and just snatch David Ridgeway (Kyler Ends). Kidnapping will seem like the best route since it looks like Evan Frears aka Christian Maddox (Brock Kelly) will be found guilty.
Even of Zoey Burge (Alyshia Ochse) could get custody, Orpheus won’t be willing to take that chance. After Zoey’s incompetence as a lawyer – at least in Orpheus’ eyes – he may not think she deserves David anyway. Orpheus trusts Christian aka Evan a bit more because his son’s obedient. Zoey doesn’t always play by Orpheus’ rules, so it’s easy to see why he’d just take the kid and run.
Orpheus may think he needs to raise David himself if Evan can’t. The only problem is Orpheus needs a massive amount of cash for a permanent escape. That’s where John comes in! Days spoilers say John’s kidnapping will allow Orpheus to score money – at least that’s what Orpheus is hoping.
Of course, Orpheus will also enjoy tormenting Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) in the process. Since Orpheus can’t be trusted, Marlena may worry about handing over the money he wants. What’s to stop Orpheus from just killing John once he receives it?
However, not paying isn’t a great idea either since that could also lead to John’s quick demise. Days spoilers say a rescue is the best option, so Marlena will rely on Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso) and Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) to help her out.
In the meantime, Orpheus will hold John at gunpoint and gloat about his grand plans. Grandpa might hope to turn poor little David into the next DOOL supervillain. Orpheus would no doubt like to mold David into the kind of young man he wants him to be. A true force to be reckoned with!
Orpheus may also reveal that he plans to kill John, even if Marlena cooperates. It’s tough to say for sure if Orpheus intends to pull the trigger once the cash is delivered, but it’s a possibility. Orpheus doesn’t mess around when it comes to his enemies.
Fortunately, David is still a sweet, innocent kid right now. He’s just a cutie who likes playing with his trucks. David won’t know he’s caught up in Orpheus’ twisted web, so he’ll actually help Grandpa’s hostage. Days of Our Lives spoilers say David will prove helpful to John on May 22.
Maybe David will wander in the room where John’s tied up. John might encourage the kid to help him loosen the knots behind his back. Perhaps David could also help John get his hands on a phone to call for help. Even a cut off call could help the cops or Hope and Steve figure out where John’s being held.
David may get caught at some point, but it sounds like his tiny rescue attempt will be fun to watch! With any luck, David can set the stage for Steve and Hope’s true rescue later.
