Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that we need to talk about Nicole Brady’s (Arianne Zucker) romantic future. Nicole finally married the love of her life and expects to live happily ever after with Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan). That just doesn’t seem like it’s going to happen now that we know Eric’s exiting.
Here’s what we know so far. DOOL insiders suggest that Eric may not get much of an exit initially – if he even gets one at all. It sounds like Eric might be busy working, taking Holly to a playdate, etc. Days may simply have Nicole mention Eric’s elsewhere for a while.
Of course, that plan can’t work indefinitely. Sooner or later, there’ll have to be a firmer offscreen exit – like Eric takes a job off canvas and is forced to do long-distance with Nicole. That’s certainly the kind of thing that could strain a couple’s relationship.
There’s even a chance Eric will be presumed dead in a plane crash or something along those lines. DOOL will have to figure something out since Eric can’t just be in the other room or across town forever.
What happens when Nicole’s eventually forced to move on – whether that be through a breakup or Eric’s presumed demise? Could Nicole find herself drifting toward a familiar ex?
Days fans know Brady Black (Eric Martolf) is basically Nicole’s backup love interest – and Nicole serves the same purpose for Brady. Nicole and Brady have steamy chemistry as well as a strong friendship.
It’s always easy for Brady and Nicole to find their way back to a romantic relationship. It’s almost like they’re each other’s security blanket.
Nicole and Brady know what they’re getting whenever they start a new love story chapter. They accept each other’s faults and see the good hearts underneath. Although Brady and Nicole have both made big mistakes, they’ve chosen to forgive and move forward.
Nicole and Brady may not be perfect for each other, but they always seem to come back around as a “good enough for right now” romance. Could that be the case again after Eric’s departure?
Brady’s headed back to Days of Our Lives in the coming months – and Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) will return as well. However, there’s nothing to suggest Kristen will stick around.
Brady’s comeback could easily be the result of Kristen getting arrested and sent to the slammer. Kristen’s return may be about another tearful goodbye. That’d leave the door open for Brady to turn to Nicole for comfort – and Nicole may find herself seeking comfort, too.
Since Nicole and Brady may both wind up alone, they could find themselves in familiar romantic territory!
