Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that the NBC soap has been forced to suspend filming again due to a positive COVID-19 test result. According to Deadline, a production team member tested positive and is now in isolation.
Those who had close contact with this person will be in quarantine for 14 days – and the show is shutting down production for two weeks as well.
DOOL’s production facilities will get a thorough disinfecting as part of cautionary deep cleaning measures. It’s good to know Days is following the proper procedures and taking steps to make sure this doesn’t spread.
The cast, crew and other staff members were all sent an informative email from Corday Productions, which offered updates on this temporary break in shooting and why.
Of course, Days fans might be wondering how this will alter what hits the air. Fortunately, it won’t affect what’s on screen at all if DOOL gets back up and running in two weeks like they plan. The show’s set to resume filming on October 26, so there shouldn’t be any issues as long as everyone gets working again by then.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say there are plenty of episodes banked up to cover this unexpected filming gap, so the show will keep airing as usual. DOOL was certainly hoping to avoid shutting down again when they started back on September 1, but sometimes things happen and you just have to handle them accordingly.
