Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that a couple of Sami Brady’s (Alison Sweeney) exes may soon be pitted against each other. DOOL fans know Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) wants to give her baby up for adoption – and she’s settled on Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) as a potential daddy candidate.
Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) and Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) advised Allie to give it a bit more thought, so that’s what she’s been doing. However, Allie will eventually move forward with her plan.
The more Allie mulls this over, the more benefits Allie will see. She’ll think Rafe would be the perfect dad for her child, so she’ll indeed ask him if he’d like to adopt her baby.
There’s a good chance Rafe will accept Allie’s offer sooner or later. Rafe might take some time to think about it, but Days viewers know he desperately wants to be a dad. Although the wound of losing David Ridgeway (Kyler Ends) is still fresh, Rafe probably won’t want to let this opportunity slip away.
Besides, Rafe will know this would help Allie – and he’s promised to help her in any way he can. Rafe had a special bond with Allie when she was younger, so he certainly loves Allie and wants to be there for her. Like Allie, Rafe may ultimately think this is the ideal arrangement. He could be a loving, dependable father for Allie’s little one.
Unfortunately, not everyone’s going to be a fan of this news. When Will Horton (Chandler Massey) and Sonny Kiriakis (Freddie Smith) get updates, Days spoilers say they’ll definitely be disappointed.
Of course, there are two other Salemites who’ll want to weigh in. During the week of July 6-10, Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) and Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) will face Rafe’s bombshell.
It sounds like Rafe will admit he intends to adopt Allie’s baby. Rafe should at least fill Lucas and Kate in on the offer, even if he hasn’t officially accepted it by then. Regardless, Lucas is bound to have a strong reaction. He doesn’t want Allie to give up her baby anyway, but he may think giving him or her to Sami’s ex is a particularly bad idea.
Lucas might argue that’s a surefire way to rile Sami up even more when this secret explodes. As for Kate, she might have some mixed feelings. Kate has her own complicated history with Rafe, so there’s that! Even so, Kate may push Lucas to back off and let Allie make the decisions here. This is Allie’s baby, so she’s in charge.
Rafe may agree with that and get into a major baby battle with Lucas. The conflict should rev up just before Sami returns to Days of Our Lives on July 14, so stay tuned.
