Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal) and Ben Weston’s (Robert Scott Wilson) wedding will move forward. There’ll be some drama beforehand thanks to Claire Brady’s (Olivia Rose Keegan) release and some unfortunate snags that’ll leave Claire in a jam. When you throw Gwen (Emily O’Brien) in the mix, Ben and Ciara’s nuptials are doomed!
However, “Cin” fans will still be treated to some sweet moments before it all falls apart. For starters, Ben and Ciara will be on cloud nine as they separately prepare for their big day. They’ll look gorgeous in their wedding attire, so they’ll really be celebrating in style!
There’s been a lot of talk about Ben’s best man and Ciara’s maid of honor, but there’s another important wedding party member to consider. Who will walk Ciara down the aisle?
In a recent DOOL promo, there’s a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment that reveals who’ll do the honors. It turns out it’ll be Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) who fills in for Ciara’s father, Bo Brady (Peter Reckell).
As the doors open at St. Luke’s, Days fans can see a brief glimpse of Rafe. He’s waiting to lead Ciara toward the altar, where Ben’s eager to marry his true love. Of course, Rafe’s inclusion in the ceremony is bound to cause a debate among Days of Our Lives viewers. Is Rafe the right person to take Bo’s place at the wedding?
Some DOOL watchers might feel like Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) would’ve been a better choice since he’s Ciara’s older brother. Ciara also loves Uncle Roman Brady (Josh Taylor), who could’ve stepped up if that’s what she wanted.
Others may think Days should’ve scrapped the male part of the tradition and just let Hope give Ciara away. Then again, Ciara could’ve just chosen to fly solo.
Nevertheless, Ciara does have a close relationship with Rafe, who was there for her when her dad was out of the picture. In terms of an actual father figure, Rafe’s probably the next best thing to Bo.
Plus, Bo paid Rafe a visit before his death and pushed Rafe to look after Hope as well as Ciara. In a way, Bo already gave his blessing since he wanted Rafe to watch out for his family.
