Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso) has rejoined the force at the perfect time. Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) convinced Hope to come back to the Salem PD, so she’ll be putting her detective skills to good use once again. That’s great news since a major mystery is about to blow in!
Galen Gering’s departure as Rafe is rapidly approaching, so it’s almost time to kick off his exit arc. It sounds like Rafe and Hope may have one last case to crack – a final mission before Rafe’s gone.
Hope and Rafe have always made an excellent team, so it’s lucky that she’s agreed to come back on board. She’ll no doubt be a huge help as this new mystery starts to unfold in Salem.
Of course, we should talk about what that mystery might look like. Days of Our Lives spoilers say Eduardo Hernandez (A Martinez) is returning sometime this month, so he’ll surely be part of Rafe’s exit equation.
Could Eduardo hold the key to solving this new mystery? Will Rafe have to pay his father a visit in prison or will Eduardo be a free man when he reappears?
Days is staying hush-hush on the details so far, but it’s a big deal that they’re bringing A Martinez back. The show even filmed out of order to accommodate Martinez’s schedule, so it’s clear that Eduardo was needed. Eduardo may play a huge role in what sends Rafe off canvas.
In the week ahead, DOOL fans can expect John Black (Drake Hogestyn) to lose consciousness during a fight with Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney). Since John’s a healthy guy who wouldn’t normally collapse during an argument, something seems fishy here.
Days could easily tie this back in with the Winterthorne Academy, where John and Eduardo were trained as assassins.
If John’s doctors run some tests and determine that he was poisoned, that information would certainly be passed along to the Salem PD. Then again, DOOL could set up this Eduardo mystery a different way.
Regardless, Rafe may not get all the answers he’s seeking right there in Salem. This could lead to a search for something or someone elsewhere.
Rafe will leave Hope behind in early September, but there’s always a chance she’ll follow later. Alfonso didn’t film an official exit, so an offscreen departure will have to be written in once her final episode airs in October. It’ll be interesting to see if Hope ultimately goes looking for Rafe!
