Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Tuesday, August 11 Recap - Gwen Tips Off Chad - Justin Takes On Bonnie’s Case - Ben Plagued By PTSD

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Tuesday, August 11, reveal that Gabi DiMera (Camila Banus) chased Jake Lambert (Brandon Barash) out of the Bistro and into town square, where she berated him for the “total disaster” of a meeting with Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) and the potential DiMera investor.

Gabi was disgusted that Jake ordered ribs and didn’t use the proper utensils, and Jake took offense, insisting that the meeting had gone well.

Gabi disagreed, and she and Jake argued fiercely. Gabi called Jake “low class” and “pathetic,” while Jake fired back that at least he was alive, unlike Gabi’s precious Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash).

Jake yelled that Stefan was “literally heartless” and “dead as a doornail.” That upset Gabi, who rushed off, leaving Jake frustrated.

Meanwhile, Bonnie Lockhart (Judi Evans) was in the process of skipping out on her Salem Inn bill and was rushing through town square when Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) stopped her and said that he wanted to talk with her.

Justin and Bonnie headed to the park, where Justin offered to be Bonnie’s lawyer against her publishing company. Justin said that he had read Bonnie’s contract, and that he was upset that they were trying to take advantage of her.

Bonnie was very grateful and said that Justin was a good man for taking her case, especially since she didn’t have any cash to pay him. Justin got on the phone and put the publisher’s lawyer on notice, then he said that he’d arrange a press conference for Bonnie to make the publisher’s life miserable.

Bonnie was amazed that Justin was going to bat for her.

At the Brady Pub, Abe Carver (James Reynolds) and Kate DiMera (Lauren Koslow) had a business meeting over dinner. Abe and Kate engaged in some small talk about Lani Price-Grant (Sal Stowers) and Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) having twins, and about Allie Horton’s (Lindsay Arnold) new baby.

Kate mentioned that Vivian Alamain’s (Louise Sorel) death was something else to celebrate, and she proceeded to run down all the horrible things that Vivian has done to her over the years.

Kate then shared the latest polling data with Abe, which was good news, and Kate pivoted that discussion into a request for a raise. Abe agreed, and he and Kate decided to celebrate.

Meanwhile, over at the DiMera mansion, Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) and Jennifer Deveraux (Melissa Reeves) were enjoying a bottle of wine when Gwen (Emily O’Brien) barged in and started drinking form their wine bottle. Jack and Jennifer were mortified.

Gwen went on about how Gabi hijacked Jake for the evening, while Jack and Jennifer just wished that Gwen would go away. Gwen went on about how she and Jake were having a romantic evening when Gabi whisked Jake away, then she finally left to go upstairs and sleep.

Jack and Jennifer were relieved. Shortly thereafter, Gabi burst into the living room and poured herself a much-needed drink.

Gwen returned and demanded to know where Jake was. Gabi said she didn’t know and didn’t care and stormed out of the room. Jack and Jennifer took off as Jake entered and gave Gwen some tidbits of information about his evening.

Jake went upstairs, and Gwen called Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn), telling him that Jake helped Gabi pull some stunt at DiMera, and that Jake said something about Chad flaking on a business meeting.

Up in Gabi’s room, Gabi spoke tenderly to Stefan’s picture, saying that it was hard to be around someone who looked like Stefan but wasn’t Stefan. Soon, Jake came in to return Stefan’s suit, and Jake apologized for being so harsh earlier. Gabi thanked him, then she broke down sobbing after Jake left the room.

At the Salem Inn, Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) and Ciara Weston (Victoria Konefal) kissed and prepared to celebrate their first night together as a married couple.

Ciara went off to put on lingerie and Ben looked at a photo of himself and Ciara on his phone, then flashed back to his torture. Ciara returned in lingerie and noted that she couldn’t find her wedding dress, prompting more Ben flashbacks of his torture.

As Ben and Ciara kissed some more, Ben flashed back and cried out, “No!” and pushed Ciara back. Ciara thought that perhaps it was too soon after Ben’s kidnapping ordeal for them to be together, so she ordered Chinese food and they ate together on the bed, enjoying their time together.

Ben read his fortune cookie, which said: “Your pleasure will become your pain and your pain will become your pleasure.”

Ben flashed back to his torture again, then he looked at the fortune again and it actually said: “Things don’t always go as planned.” Ciara’s fortune read: “True love always triumphs.” Ciara said that she thought that she and Ben were proof of that, and they kissed happily.
