Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Tuesday, September 8 Recap - Gwen Recalls Drugging Abigail - Ciara Gets The Better Of Vincent

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Tuesday, September 8, reveal that Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) was pleasantly surprised to find that the intruder in his home was Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams).

Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) rushed out of the bedroom with a bat, only to find Tripp in the living room with Steve. The three of them sat down and Tripp explained that he was visiting because he missed his family.

Steve asked about Tripp’s medical school, but before he could answer, Steve suggested that they all go to the Brady Pub for some food. Kayla said that she wanted to go check on Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso) first, and that she’d meet them at the pub.

Kayla took off, and Steve and Tripp talked. Tripp said he wasn’t going back to California, and that he was interested in finishing his last year of medical school in Salem.

After some talk about Haley Chen’s (Thia Megia) death, which Tripp said hit him hard, Tripp admitted that he wasn’t sure that Kayla would be on board with him being at University Hospital, since previously tried to ruin Kayla’s career.

Steve said that Kayla was past that, and that Tripp should talk with Kayla over dinner. Tripp agreed, and he and Steve were all smiles.

At the DiMera mansion, Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) walked into the living room and promptly asked Gwen Rizchech (Emily O’Brien) what she was doing in Chad DiMera’s (Billy Flynn) arms.

Gwen got flustered and said that Chad was just comforting her, and Chad asked for some time alone with Abigail. After Gwen left, Abigail revealed that she had checked herself out of treatment against her doctor’s wishes, but that she was fine and wanted to be home.

Chad was skeptical at first, but he eventually accepted that Abigail was home. Abigail went to check on the kids upstairs, and afterwards she returned and learned that Gwen and Jake Lambert (Brandon Barash) broke up but that Chad let Gwen stay in the mansion.

Abigail wanted to know how Chad and Gwen came to be friends, but Chad deflected the question.

At the police station, Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) talked with someone via phone about the Jan Spears (Heather Lindell) situation, saying that she needed to be locked back up in the looney bin.

Claire Brady (Isabel Durant) walked into the squad room and overheard, thinking that her father was talking about her. Shawn reassured her that he wasn’t talking about her.

In Rafe Hernandez’s (Galen Gering) office, Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) and Jennifer Deveraux (Melissa Reeves) arrived to see Hope, who was now operating under the theory that Vincent Bellman (Michael Teh) might have his own vendetta against Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson).

Hope revealed that Eve Donovan (Kassie DePaiva) told her that Vincent remarked that he had lost someone, too.

Jack went out to the squad room to see Shawn, and Kayla arrived to see Hope.

Kayla and Jennifer learned that Rafe had left town to visit his sick mother in Mexico. Kayla left, and soon Jack and Shawn rushed back into the room, saying that they had found an old marriage license, and that Vincent was once engaged to Wendy Taylor (Denice Duff), the midwife that Ben shot and killed.

Hope was horrified. Later, Hope and Shawn located Wendy’s old address.

Back at the DiMera mansion, Jack and Jennifer rushed in and embraced Abigail happily. Jennifer and Jack learned about how Abigail checked herself out of treatment, and ultimately they were ok with it. Jack and Jennifer went upstairs, and Abigail and Chad talked some more.

Chad shared that Gabi DiMera (Camila Banus) was now in Mexico, and Abigail was glad. After some talk about Gabi being the person who drugged Abigail, Chad and Abigail determined that the threat to Abigail was now over.

At Julie’s Place, Gwen walked in and encountered Claire. The two friends caught up, and Gwen shared about how Jake broke up with her and slept with Gabi. Claire and Gwen talked about Tripp a bit as well, and Claire said she was glad that Tripp moved away. “He’s the last person I need to see right now,” Claire said.

After Claire took off to go check up on the search for Ciara Weston (Victoria Konefal), Gwen sat alone and drank champagne. Gwen then flashed back to the day that Abigail was drugged at Julie’s Place. Turns out that Gwen was in Salem that day, incognito at Julie’s place, and she was the one who drugged Abigail’s champagne.

At Wendy’s old apartment, Ciara asked Vincent what he was going to do to her. Vincent looked at a photo of Wendy and ruminated about how Ben had shot Wendy.

Vincent said that he didn’t think that Ciara was innocent, since she saved Ben from execution earlier this year. Ciara got peeved and stood up and shoved Vincent. Vincent then whipped out a syringe.

After some physical tussling, Ciara stuck Vincent with the syringe, and he appeared to pass out on the bed. Ciara went to the door and opened it, but as she went to leave, Vincent grabbed her from behind and pulled her back into the apartment.

A short time later, Shawn and Hope showed up at the apartment, but it was too late. Ciara and Vincent were gone.

Vincent took Ciara to his car, and they drove off. As they drove along, Ciara asked Vincent where he was taking her. “You’ll see,” Vincent said. Ciara said that if Vincent was going to shoot her, he should just do it. “Why would I shoot you, Wendy?” Vincent said, clearly feeling the effect of the drug from the syringe.

Finally, at the Brady Pub, Kayla arrived to find Steve waiting. Steve said that Tripp had some errands to run, and Kayla asked if Tripp said how long he was staying in town. Steve said that he’d let Tripp tell Kayla about that. Outside the pub, Tripp approached, as did Claire. Tripp and Claire came face to face.
