Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that a familiar face will soon be returning to the NBC soap. Valerie Grant (Vanessa Williams) last appeared on the show for Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) and Lani Price-Grant’s (Sal Stowers) wedding, but she’s soon headed back to Salem.
Vanessa Williams recently posted some updates on her Instagram feed indicating that she’s back on set and filming.
Vanessa posted a video clip of herself on set, as well as a photo with the following caption: “Back on my #dayjob #daysofourlives @nbcdays #workinginthepandemic #gratitude.”
This is great news for Days of Our Lives fans, and perhaps Valerie will be back in Salem to check in on Lani and her twin grand babies who are on the way.
We suspect, though, that Valerie’s return to Salem could also spark a little jealousy in someone. As DOOL viewers know, Abe Carver (James Reynolds) used to be in a relationship with Valerie, but when Valerie returned for Eli and Lani’s wedding last summer, she announced that she was seeing Eli’s old FBI instructor.
One wonders if Valerie will be single when she returns to Salem.
If Valerie is single, then she might just be looking to rekindle things with Abe. And even if not, she and Abe will surely reconnect, as they’ve always been very fond of each other.
And that might get Kate DiMera (Lauren Koslow) a little jealous! Kate has been working closely with Abe at the mayor’s office for a while now, and the two have developed quite a rapport.
Days of Our Lives fans have been wondering for a while now if there might be a spark between Kate and Abe down the line. Kate has certainly proven herself to Abe, who was initially skeptical about having Kate work with him after all the horrible things that she has done.
But Kate has come through for Abe on more than one occasion, and now they seem to have a great relationship.
But if Valerie comes back in the picture and starts getting cozy or even simply friendly with Abe again, that could bring up some feelings in Kate that she may have to deal with.
Kate gets territorial pretty easily, and if Abe cuts short enough meetings with her in order to spend time with the lovely Valerie, then Kate might start feeling jealous and wonder why. It could cause Kate to have to face her feelings.
We’ll see what happens here, but one thing’s for sure – it will be great to see Valerie back in action on Days of Our Lives, and if her presence brings some feelings between Abe and Kate to the forefront, that would be an interesting development for sure!
