Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal what soap weddings are always something that fans look forward to. It’s fun to see a couple say their vows – and the inevitable drama of the big day is fun, too. Days had a great “four weddings and a funeral” theme earlier this year, but it’s time to start looking ahead.
Which DOOL couple will tie the knot next? Who should say “I do” at a sweet yet dramatic ceremony? Here are four exciting weddings that need to happen!
1) Xander and Sarah
Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) and Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) would’ve been married by now if it hadn’t been for Xander’s baby switch blunder. That was a huge offense, but Xander won Sarah over again and deserves another chance to marry her. It’s not Xander’s fault that Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson) is stirring up trouble.
Things may get worse for Xander before they get better, but we have faith in “Xarah.” Xander has proven that no other woman can top Sarah in his heart. Despite Xander’s flaws, Sarah loves him and will hopefully get past any other obstacles that arise.
Xander and Sarah fans are certainly rooting for a wedding once this Philip crisis is finally behind them.
2) Shawn and Belle
Contrary to some of Philip’s dialogue, Belle Black (Martha Madison) isn’t technically Shawn Brady’s (Brandon Beemer) wife. Shawn and Belle never remarried after their divorce, but Philip has been out of the loop for a while!
Since the show acts like Belle and Shawn are married anyway, they could use a wedding to make it official.
Just like with Xander and Sarah, Philip is Shawn and Belle’s main source of contention right now. However, love tends to prevail when it comes to Belle and Shawn.
Maybe they’ll get an opportunity to remarry in front of their nearest and dearest at some point.
3) Brady and Kristen
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) will eventually wiggle out of this legal jam she’s stuck in. DOOL fans know Kristen never stays behind bars for long!
Once Kristen gets her freedom back, Brady could help her celebrate by proposing. It’s clear that Brady is all in on Kristen and the family they’ve built with Rachel Black (Rosalind and Josephine May).
It’d be nice to see Brady make Kristen his wife, especially since Kristen’s ruined her fair share of nuptials. You can bet there’d be some derailed wedding karma for Kristen, but perhaps she could indeed become Mrs. Black in the end.
4) Steve and Kayla
Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) never should’ve gotten divorced in the first place since they never stopped loving each other.
Kayla has waited a respectful amount of time since her failed wedding to Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth), so there’s nothing standing in the way of a remarriage for “Stayla.”
With Ava Vitali’s (Tamara Braun) return on the horizon, that’s another excellent reason for Kayla and Steve to wed. Ava was so obsessed that she once had a creepy Steve shrine, so she could crash the nuptials and shake things up.
Of course, Steve belongs with Kayla and no one else, so we’d like to think maybe “Stayla” could make it last forever this time.
