Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that some shocking couple shakeups are set to hit Salem down the road. Even duos that seem to be on solid ground won’t be safe in the months ahead. Days is looking to do a bit of an overhaul in the romance department, so expect the NBC soap to make big changes.
Since some “Cin” drama’s on the way down the road, it’s possible Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) and Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal) will eventually break up. It’d be unrealistic to expect Ciara and Ben to stay together forever without any splits. That just doesn’t happen in the soap world!
When you look at all the classic beloved couples over the years, they’ve all broken up and gotten back together more times they can count. It’s a good thing when couples fall apart since it often means they can find their way back to each other and get a good story in the process.
If Ciara ends up single for a while, who might be another option for her? We can think of a great one. Days of Our Lives fans have been hearing more Theo Carver (Kyler Pettis) mentions lately. Theo left town for treatment in South Africa back in 2018, but he’s become the go-to tech expert by phone.
Although Days viewers haven’t actually seen Theo, it’s been nice for him to feel like part of the action again. Theo has come through for his sister, Lani Price (Sal Stowers), a couple of times lately – including when he traced Rex Brady’s (Kyle Lowder) phone call.
Could DOOL be dropping hints about a fully recovered Theo finally heading back to Salem? If so, it may or may not be Kyler Pettis back in the role. It all depends on what TPTB think will work best with the current canvas.
Many people were fond of Pettis’ portrayal, but Days of Our Lives could choose to recast specifically with Ciara in mind. Konefal barely had a chance to debut as Ciara before Pettis hit the exit door, so it’s tough to say whether their version of Theo and Ciara would’ve worked.
Regardless, we can’t rule out Days wanting to start fresh with a newbie who’s been tested and proven with Ciara. If they’re going to do a love triangle, they’ll want to level the playing field as much as they can. Ben and Ciara a lot of fans out there, so Theo and Ciara would have to be pretty sizzling to compete!
However, plenty of viewers were disappointed that Ciara and Theo weren’t given a real chance. As childhood besties, Theo and Ciara seemed destined to fall in love and build a future together. Could they still get an opportunity after Ben and Ciara’s romance crumbles?
Ciara will need someone to lean on when things get tough with Ben – and there’s no one Ciara’s been able to lean on in the past quite like Theo. He was always Ciara’s rock and could be that same rock again.
Even if Ciara ultimately reunites with Ben following all the drama, it’s easy to imagine Theo reentering the picture and leaving her torn for a while.
